One in three people suffers from a psychological disorder at some point in their lives. These disorders include depression, anxiety, panic attacks, compulsive disorders, phobias, ADHD, and bipolar spectrum disorders. Many sufferers do not seek help, despite the devastating effects of these illnesses even though they can be relieved or cured by a number of very effective treatments.
I offer a range of strategies for adults and children. These include cognitive behavior therapy and psychotherapy, both of which are highly successful in the majority of cases. Very occasionally, with the client's agreement, I may prescribe a carefully tailored medical regime. Looking beyond the symptoms, I treat every one of my clients as an individual with a unique personality and set of circumstances that impinge upon their condition.

I thought about my review and was going to give 5 stars. then I had flashbacks about the wrong medication. What I would have liked if he had a follow up appointment or made me aware of certain side effects. Apparently I had taken a medication that broke me. However being an idiot I drank the koolaid and kept taking it thinking it would help. My mistake. Look if you're taking medication that works for you. Keep using it. If it's not working then make an adjustment. But check with your doctor. Don't self medicate. yes he has a great bedside manor but perhaps his old treatments may

I have been seeing Dr. Grossi for a little over a year now. I am SO grateful for his expertise and for guiding me through treatment. I was always a little hesitant to take medication, but he really worked with me to understand the science behind how they work and took a conservative approach, which really helped me feel at ease. He's sharp too! And he listens. He was able to catch some issues I did not realize I was dealing with. My life has taken a big 180 since I first saw him last year. Its such a relief to finally understand my issues. I feel like I got my life back. His office manager

I've been seeing and Dr. Grossi for almost 2 years. I started when I was dealing with post-partum depression. I had tried to find a psychiatrist for weeks with no success. Either doctors weren't taking new patients or they were booked for months. When I called his office and spoke to Chris, she recognized the urgency and got me in to see Dr. Grossi the same day. I don't think he prescribed medication the first visit or even the second. But he is a psychiatrist, so I don't see why people are so surprised when he prescribes medication. If you don't want medication stick with

I've been seeing Dr. G for 20 years. He is a amazing human. He is all the things a good doctor should be.
His girl at the front desk Chris is a major sweetie, she is great at insurance and calling in prescriptions for you
He said we can Skype after I move to Reno, which would be awesome, it's just awful trying to find new doctors at this point in my life...

Like many other reviewers, I too had a problem with Dr. Grossi's seemingly low-consideration, pill-slinging approach to treatment.
I came for a case of social anxiety, and was prescribed benzos to help. I thought, "great," finally a solution to my problem! However, he failed to mention the addictive nature of benzos, as well as the detriments of long term benzo use. When i found this out when doing independent research (thank god), I immediately cancelled my follow up appointment.
On top of that Dr.Grossi and his receptionist seem to care little about their clients. I would stay

Been going to Dr Grossi on and off for the past 6 years. He has always been there when I needed him the most. I think most clients would agree. The way he comforts you with simple facts into conversation already helps and makes your decisions more clearer. I am very grateful for Dr Grossi being the kind flexible and informative professional he is.
Appreciated deeply, & sincerely Kathleen.

Honestly Dr Grossi is an amazing guy. I've been going to him since I was a kid. He know a lot, isn't judgmental, and very laid back guy.
He doesn't prod with questions if you don't feel comfortable talking about them at first. I mean like you can actually have a conversation and he'll get to know ya and if your issues come up in said conversation(s) he'll do what he can to help.
Also I've always been bad a explaining things but this is how I feel about him. He's a great guy I'd say give him a shot because I've never trusted psychiatrists while

Dr. Grossi, I am disappointed in you, a man who is highly educated. I came into his office seeking help for my problem focusing. Rather than getting to know my lifestyle, my family/home life, or anything else personal for that matter, he ran thru a routine ADHD checklist. Once we went through this absolute joke of a checklist, he quickly wrote me a prescription for Dextroamphetamine to focus during the day and Clonozepam to sleep at night. What a crime. He literally handed a perfectly healthy 21 year old man two of the most addictive drugs on the market. If I was not educated I would simply listen

Dr. Phip Grossi saved my life.
I experienced deep depressions all of my adult life withhout any diagnosis to explain what was going on. Because I am smart, my moods and withdrawal was ascribed to some sort of genius. First time visiting and seeking psychiatrist Help...
Dr. GROSSI is amazing. Listens, he is not quick to put you on medication he does think about it before he does.
Medication is not always the answer to solving the issue.
Well, they do not take Blue Shield insurance, so I would like to continue to visit them but I have to find a new Psychiatrist that will take my insurance.
I do recommend this Dr.
He made me feel welcomed, heard, understood, and comfortable.

I have been seeing Dr Grossi way over 10 years now. I have been depressed
since I was 16 and until I met himI had just been "dealing with it" as best as I could. I have seen literally dozens of doctors in my life (I am now 54) and always felt lost and alone and felt all the other doctors were just throwing different medications at me to see if anything worked. After meeting Dr Grossi, we tried several different medications and found that something off-book worked wonderful for me. I now run my own business and my family sees a huge difference in me. Chris, his right arm at the office

I have been a patient of Dr. Grossi for many years. I initially sought treatment for severe attacks of generalized anxiety. Thanks to Dr. Grossi I have not experienced an anxiety attack for almost 10 years. Treatment for mental illness is not an exact science. Different medications work for different people. Dr. Grossi is not the type of doctor who is going to have a patient walk in and say I have been to a different psychiatrist and this is the medication I want/need. There is too much abuse of psychiatric medicine and his ethics are above that. He is going to do his own evaluation of a

Absolutely hands down the worst experience of my life. Based on Dr. Grossi's stellar Yelp reviews I gave his office a call, his receptionist was clear that I would need to pay $500 for a consultation as they do not work with Aetna. I was told to arrive at 2:15 pm and expect to stay 1.5 hours as this was the first visit. I in fact arrived at 2:00 pm to ensure all the necessary forms were filled out (including a very heavy handed legal document only allowing arbitration under his terms, not cool but desperate folks have no choice) .
I was called into his office at 2:20pm and inquired how much
