Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance is the largest orthopaedic surgery group in Nashville and Middle Tennessee. We are proud of our growth and it all started from humble beginnings when our founder, Dr. George Carpenter, Sr. opened the first orthopaedic practice in Nashville in 1926. Ninety plus years later we are advancing the practice of orthopaedic surgery throughout Tennessee.

For orthopedic injuries that can't wait, Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance offers an alternative to the emergency room. Our urgent care clinics offer extended clinic and weekend hours for any non-emergent sports, recreational or workers' compensation bone and joint-related injuries. We welcome same-day, walk-in appointments.
Enter the St. Thomas West - Nashville campus by entrance A (Main/Emergency Entrance). There are two parking options. There is parking available on Level B of the Harding Garage, located on your left, or continue straight until you see East/West Medical Plaza Parking on your right. Great treatment and service. One star because I was injured in September of 2020 and I’m STILL waiting on TOA to send me the necessary documentation to finalize my claim. Two documents are needed and they sent me only one a few weeks ago. Meanwhile my account status is delinquent and sent to collections. Seriously, my insurance company will pay that balance if TOA just sends me the CMS 1500. I’ve called at least 10 times and spoken to 10 different people who all said they would send it and didn’t. Shout out to Charmaine for being the only helpful one though and getting me one of the documents

Dr Brown has been a great source of help with my hand. Actually Dr Brown will be in surgery January 2022 on my thumb. I have completely wore the bone away causing me great discomfort. I need to do it sooner but I did not want to spoil the Holidays. Dr Brown has given me a steroid shot in this thumb that helped for many months. I feel very good about her ability to do surgery on my thumb. I’m so thankful that I live in s country first where we are free then to have the doctors, nurses and hospitals available to care for myself. Dr. Brown is an absolutely fantastic physician. Her professionalism and patient care is the best that I have received. She provided treatment for a significant issue I was having with my right wrist. She provided me with a diagnosis and explained it in detail so I was able to fully understand. I would highly recommend Dr. Brown. She is the only one that I will go to for medical services for my hands and wrists. She is wonderful!

I had my first visit with Dr Brown yesterday and I have nothing but positive thoughts and feedback on my experience with her. She was prompt, friendly, and open to listening to my questions and concerns about my issue. She took the time ask me if I had any additional questions before moving forward at any step.
