The Go Boat Motel is a newly remodeled motel on Hwy 8 in Center City, MN that has 8 rooms available for rent, pending availability. We boast of our quaint and colorful rooms, comfortable beds, air-conditioning and easy access to South Center Lake. Step out of your room and you will be treated to sprawling lake views, wild-life and an abundance of happy families using all of the lakes great resources.
Each room at Go Boat Motel is fully equipped to take care of you every need. I was in the area for a local tournament and needed a place to stay. The owners of this little Motel are as friendly and accommodating as a person could ever ask. They even helped me find a place to plug in my boat for the night. The room was clean, fresh linens, and great location. Bang for buck, a great little place with awesome service.

We booked a 3 night stay for July over two months in advance. The week of our trip I called numerous times and no one picked up the phone. I left 2 Voicemails (on different days) and tried an email to confirm our reservation. I was emailed back this reply: "I have been trying to figure out what I can do as there is a person who has decided to stay longer and is renting monthly. I don't like telling you I do not have a room but I really do not have a room available. I did call around to other motels and this is what is available as of this morning for the dates you needed:"

The room I had was clean and comfortable. CATV, and Wi-Fi.
I am a blue collar kind of guy, and stayed here three weeks. And I would stay here again.
This establishment is nostalgic. There can be no comparison with the major chains. If you want that "motel experience" crying out loud go there!
Let is 'throwbacks' enjoy this gem.

As the Owner of the Go Boat Motel, we have undertaken a complete update of the rooms to freshen everything. Painting, new beds, improved bathrooms, new linens, new carpet where needed, and other items to make your stay more pleasant.
Also, Go Boat Motel is under new management. Merit is the on-site manager and is always willing to assist.
Currently, rooms 6, 7, and 8 are being totally redone. But, there are still 5 rooms available. Remember, you should be able to make a reservation online through our website.

Don't bother trying to get a room here. You can show up and call the office until your face turns blue and you won't get a hold of anyone. We had made reservations prior (the woman called me from her cell phone to confirm), and when we got there, there was no one there and no one answered the office phone. We even came and called the day prior to our reservations in hopes of staying an extra day and to no avail- nothing, not even a call back after the countless messages we left.
