Please read though some of the letters Wooden Shoe Pre-School & Pre-Kindergarten has received from our satisfied parents. Best school ever. Worked there forever. Best teachers, directors, owner, all staff. Never will you find a more loving, caring school. Children always come first. Moved out of state and will never work in another preschool because there is no place like Wooden Shoe!

After poor experiences at other local daycares, I am proud to say that my two daughters go to the Wooden Shoe. Both are well ahead of their peers academically, socially and emotionally due to the amazing program at the Wooden Shoe. Some of the features that we are impressed with is the swimming, music, spanish and gym programs which are provided at no extra charge. The field trips are fantastic as well as the environment which seeks to educate the whole child through "the best of the best" techniques from Montessori, Waldorf, direct instruction, and other preschool models out there. My son attended this daycare for 1 day and 1 day only. After I picked him up and got him home his diaper was so full it was evident he had not been changed in some time. Additionally he had a large sore on his bottom which appeared to be from a spider or some other type of bug. Most daycares provide 1 day of care for FREE to allow children and parents to test out the facility. After my experience I was not going to pay for the ONE day that my child attended. I immediately took him out and went elsewhere. Keep in mind their weekly rate for 2 yr olds was $250/week as of August 2017. Fast forward

My grandma was dropping off my daughter and tripped in this hole they have in the lobby are she was holding my four month old son as she fell she got a fractured jaw sprained wrist and my four month old has a cracked cranium from it. Went in to ask for an incident report and got told they don't do one and was asked to leave while my daughter goes to this daycare if they don't have incident reports then how many kids get hurt and are not reported very disappointed in this place do not recommend at all

My daughter has been attending Wooden Shoe since she was 1 year old- and still continues there for before/after care and summer program.
After researching MANY of the surrounding care options- trying the Anchor in Arvada and a day home I found " The Shoe". What first caught my attention were the ladies caring for the age 1 group at that time. I am embarassed to admit I have now forgotten their names (Bea?) --- but the fact that they had been there 25-30 years plus showed me that they knew what they were doing --- and worked in a place that couldn't be "that bad" in my mind to stick around for
