The succession of McCabe family members who have served their community mirrors the growth of southeastern Michigan over the past century. In 1893, the first McCabe Funeral Parlor was established in Detroit at Cass and Grand River Avenues. Since that time, the firm has had a long and varied history, leading to the family's present locations in Farmington Hills and in Canton Township.
Andrea learned of the McCabe Funeral Home because of a fortuitous meeting with a former teacher from Wayne State University. After her first interview, Andrea was convinced that McCabe Funeral Home was the perfect fit for her. It was the McCabe family's absolute devotion to strong values and to serving families and communities with utmost care and respect that drew her in to this profession of service.
The goal of any funeral service professional is to make the process of saying goodbye to our loved ones a meaningful, therapeutic experience. My family has had two services at the McCabe Canton location. Both times, we were truly blown away by their professionalism and compassion. I can't describe how much comfort it brings in not having to worry about all of the little details of organizing a funeral while dealing with a loss. The staff walked us through everything, thoroughly explained our options, and did not pressure us to buy something we didn't want or need. They kept us abreast of any information in a timely manner, and have continued to follow up with us after the services to see how things are going. I just can't recommend them
