This was a solid 3-star stay. Staff was friendly, room was clean enough, but there was a sense of grimy-ness. I didn't feel super safe, staying alone as a single woman, as the hotel was very close to the freeway and doors opened right out to a quiet, dimly-lit parking lot. Overall it was fine for what I needed, but I can't say I'd return there again.

Everything about this hotel is great. From the check in experience to the beautiful courtyard and gardens and of course the rooms, which are bright and let in a lot of light through the shutters (so used to curtains the shutters are a nice change and work just as well if not better, because I can adjust the top portions separately) and my room was very clean and beautifully presented with not one, not two, but at least 3 maybe more, folded swans made out of towels, with floral patterns everywhere. Dog friendly was the best part, Milo (my 7 month old jack russel) had a no issues, did not hear any

My home burned down in the Wolsey fire and after living in five other places I ended up for the last six months before my home was finished. I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is. I got free breakfast each morning and there was a choice of many items and all good. The wifi was great and had no problems with it. I was able to take my dog with me which meant a lot. Charles was the guy. He took very good care of what ever I needed. The room was terrific and the bed was good as well. Loved the bathroom, it even came with a magnifying mirror which I loved. I stayed in another

Room is clean and comfortable. Bed is comfortable. Bathroom is large and easy to use. Looks like the rooms were probably upgraded recently. Staff are pleasant and efficient.
I should note that the hotel is under some renovation construction right now, so there is no pool (looks like it's being resurfaced) and the restaurant is under construction. We hear no noise of construction in our room, and there's no dust or anything. (We are in a room overlooking a pretty courtyard.) So, just check with them to find out when the pool and restaurant will be back in business if you want those amenities

Exquisite!!! My husband and I wanted to get away for our Wedding Anniversary and it was more and better than I expected. The minute you walk through the clean beautiful automated glass doors!!! Every thing shines and has an inviting aroma of coconut .... my favorite!!! The employees are so professional and Charles was very accommodating as he complimented and congratulated us on our Anniversary he gave us a complimentary upgrade to courtyard and drinks!!! He was thoroughly informative about all the layout of the building and breakfast menu!!! He called us by our name every time we seen him....

I had to stay for over a week at the Palm Garden Hotel. I was amazed at how nice it looks since their remodel. Not only was the hotel beautiful but the staff was amazing. The manager was very friendly and accommodating as well. The house keeping staff, especially Amelia and Anna, were hardworking and very friendly. Breakfast was available every day for free and the cooks made great food.

Not bad!! The rooms were acceptable and the hotel allowed my dogs to stay with us. The hotel was being remodeled, necessitating the closure of the pool and restaurant. However, it was really no problem for me.
Would I stay there again? Yes, because they allow dogs and I have three small ones. The breakfast was free each and every day and were more than adequate.

Authentically Local, Tastefully Artsy, Functionally Walkable
Palm Garden is my family's first choice for a Five-Star stay in the Thousand Oaks area because of PALM:
P-Place
Local emplacement means the hotel and grounds feel connected to a local place, distinct from the bland "placeless-ness" of corporate chains. Both the hotel and attached restaurant are owned by a generous family residing locally in the Conejo Valley, not a depersonalized conglomerate operating at a scale that make staff indifferent to the quality of your stay.
A-Atmosphere
This local feel creates a warm atmosphere

I can't even begin to say how pleasantly surprised I am by this place. This inconspicuous place is hiding so much beauty in it. Let me break it down based on the various aspects that I liked so you can see what might be significant to you.
1) Pet friendly: When I first drove up I expected this to be like every pet friendly hotel I've been to, overpriced with gross smelly rooms and a staff that doesn't care. I was instead blown out of the water. At check in I was immediately greeted with great service and I was told there was only a one time $50 deposit for a pet. I was really satisfied

After 33 years living in sunny Southern California, I embarked on a new chapter in my life. I moved to Sparks, NV. My last stop in California was at Palm Garden Hotel and I would give them 10 stars out of 5. The recently renovated room was beautiful. The grounds are impeccably kept and the staff was very attentive. Their innovative way of serving a "hot" breakfast during COVID was refreshing. No bagged muffins like the chains. A made to order breakfast, even better than a buffet! And, my four legged babies were allowed here!
The best part of this hotel is the GM/COO, Steven

Took a mini vacation and decided we wanted to stay at this property, they tell you to call same day if you'd like early check in and they were more than happy to help. Bed was very uncomfortable but the room had an nice vibe to it. Bathroom was beautiful. The property was beautiful and they were having a wedding when we arrived. The breakfast was great, highly recommend the waffle. Wish we had more time to get in the pool but felt like we'd be interrupting the weeding. My boyfriend probably his ps4 and wifi worked great on it. We wouldn't mind coming back but maybe I'd choose

My wife and I were traveling for business and needed a pet-friendly hotel. We stayed at the Palm Garden Hotel, and I am happy to say the hotel exceeded our expectations. Rooms look just remodeled, and the courtyard gives a great feeling of peace. Free Wi-Fi, Free Parking, and Free Breakfast are what all hotels should be about.
So why four stars?? My room was in the Courtyard, and it was great, but many of the rooms are looking outside to the parking lot. I imagine if I were in one of those rooms, my experience would have been different. Also inside the hotel, it is beautiful but the surrounding

Friendly, clean, dog friendly hotel in a convenient location. Unfortunately, the noise from other guests walking by the room and the highway noise were a bit alarming for our dog, so that wasn't ideal.
The rooms were clean, and we made use of the small gym and hot tub. Breakfast wasn't anything special. Scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, and some oatmeal were all premade. Coffee and juice. All standard, nothing to go out of your way for.
We'd go back if we're back in the area. Overall a good stay.
