I have HS, and though I was only diagnosed 10 years ago it has been a disease that I have struggled with since puberty. Over the years, I have had multiple surgeries to remove troublesome cysts - some by plastic surgeons and some not - most unsatisfactory with either significant scarring or cyst recurrence in the area of removal. Needing surgery again and now living in LA, I decided to turn to google to see if there were any plastic surgeons with HS experience and through that I found Dr. Tahernia. I've never found a physician this way and so I was a little skeptical to make that first call

I never write yelp reviews, however feel compelled to write one for Dr. Tahernia, as I am so grateful to him. Our 2 year old toddler son recently fell down and had a deep tear in his lower lip. Understandably, we were very distraught and so fearful of taking our son to the emergency room. My husband is a general surgeon and was really worried about the permanent damage the tear could cause and therefore was insistent on finding a plastic surgeon. I can't recommend Dr Tahernia highly enough. I was a patient of Dr Tahernia's for a breast augmentation. He was always focused on delivering me the results I wanted, and always made me feel comfortable and confident in his care. The result was amazing, he delivered exactly what i was after (natural). During and after operation he was by my side, and checking in with me in the hours and days following. Don't waste your time with anyone else!

Dr. Tahernia is literally a life saver!!! His reconstructive surgery he performed on me has healed up so wonderful! I had been dealing with Hidradenitis (HS) for almost 10 years now! January 11th, 2018 my life changed completely. In a good way! Dr. Tahernia is one of the greats people I know. Just when I thought my world was coming to end he helped me get control of my life again. It all started my beginning of senior year of high school as a boil. Usual I would just let the boil pop on it's own, but a week went by and the boil continue to grow bigger. Dr. Tahernia was wonderful. I was seeking a doctor for Botox and was pretty nervous, as it was my first time, but Dr. Tahernia was great. He was super friendly, which put me at ease, and offered his expert opinion on how to go about achieving the look I wanted. It definitely was not pain-free, but they applied numbing gel so it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I am very happy with the results and look forward to my next appointment!

I went to see Dr Tahernia when my daughter was biten in the face by a dog. She is 10 years old. We thought she had possibly lost her eye. He was incredible. He held steady, he was able to calm us down and get my daughter to the point of relaxing enough so that he could do his magic. I thought she was going to be scarred for life, but she isnt. After a month and a half you can barley see the puncture wound or the stiches along her eye. I can't say enough about him. He is a wonderful surgeon. His work is impeccable, his bedside manner is unbelievable and his follow up is top notch.

His work is impeccable, and having gone to consultations and pre-op appointments with my friend, I've been able to interact with Dr. Tahernia myself. He has amazing bedside manner, and really truly cares about his patients. He's not like most plastic surgeons in Los Angeles who are extremely cocky and arrogant. Dr. Tahernia is very humble, professional, and pleasant.
