Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Dr. Gregory Lavigne is part of the orthopedics program at Southeastern Sports Medicine and Orthopedics, which is a department of Pardee Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. He specializes in upper and lower extremity trauma surgery and adult reconstructive orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Lavigne received his medical degree from Albany Medical College, and went on to complete a general surgery residency, orthopedic surgery residency, and fellowship in total joint arthroplasty at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburg. He was also a member of the teaching faculty at Allegheny General Hospital.

Shattered my femur in 7 places mountain biking. He did not sugar coat the situation but in the end did a fantastic job. Accident in Aug of 2019. In 2020 I hiked 1300 miles 270000 vertical feet, Back to riding in 2021 - rode 4000 miles and 400000 vertical feet so far this year. Could not have done this without him! He did say that the injured leg might end up being longer than the other to avoid dislocations post recovery. Others have complained about this. For me it is not noticeable, and you have to understand that after traumatic injury you will never ever be the same. A lot of your outcome will

Really like the outfit he’s with on Hendersonville Rd. Get knee shots, non-steroid. LOVE the PA; he was terrific; May not be there now. Office Staff very, very friendly! Ive not had any surgical needs.

Very bad doctor, doesn't do what he says he'll do. Changes his mind during surgery!! Think he's doing what he said he'll do to you then does something else!! Messed husband's leg up big time!!! 4 infections, then said AMPUTATION!!!! Suppose to be a revision! DO NOT GO TO HIM FOR ANYTHING!! BAD DOCTOR!!!
