Herford's Tree Care, Inc. was founded by Nathan Herford in 2000 and operates out of Estacada, Oregon. He has been involved with the tree care industry for over 23 years. Formerly a middle school math teacher, Nathan started the business in 2000, with the idea that it would be a Summer job. After 3 years of trying to stay part time, it was clear he needed to have more than a pickup full of tools and a trailer.
The growing demand, love for the outdoors, incredible satisfaction in the work itself, and the desire to serve others, the decision to go full-time was an easy one. With 2 crews running daily, and lots of trucks on the road, we're hard to miss, and you'll find our service hard to beat. In 2007, Herford was certified by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) as a Certified Arborist (PN-6333A).

Just wanted to give kudos to this company for doing a wonderful job for me. My regular tree company was not even taking calls, after February's ice storm. My front tree was damaged and I made the decision that it had to come down. I also had neighbor trees (one on each side) that had broken or dangling branches that would eventually fall down onto my property. The owner came out to give me an estimate within a few days of me calling, which was pretty remarkable considering how busy they were. The work was scheduled the following month. This team was awesome! Hard working, quick to get out to help us, and all around great guys. They were respectful to our who family who peered on as they worked, even waiving to the littles. Met our expectations and more. Only place I'd ever call for any tree service!

Amazing crew. I was one of the "lucky" ones that had quite a bit of damage from the tornado that came through in June. This company was supportive, fair, hard working, and got me scheduled in immediately. I cant say enough great things about them. I recommend them for anything to do with your trees. Also, they saved me $1300 over an estimate from Richs' Tree Service, who obviously thinks a bit too highly of themselves. Nathan is great ! Thank you!!!

Excellent service and really nice dependable guys. I watched Nathan climb up this tree like a little monkey. He carefully and expertly dropped that tree right exactly where he wanted it piece by piece. He worked over top of a wooden deck with absolutely no damage. I was amazed. The guys cleaned up every little branch and twig. I was completely floored by their expertise, professionalism, and follow through. Highly recommend.

My aunt had used them in an emergency situation some years ago. When a huge tree came down across her property and even extended to the neighbor's patio, Nathan's team was quickly on the job handling the situation to everyone's satisfaction.
My uncle and aunt continue to use their services on their large multi-acre property.
I had a positive experience as well. Nathan did a "walk through" with me and described what he felt needed doing beyond the giant dead tree that I knew had to quickly come down
