Needed trimming from storm damage. Was ensured Daryl would be calling to talk about work to be done.
He NEVER called.

Hate to leave a 1 star review to a local business but we have been calling and emailing them more times than I can count.

After trying to contact them multiple times myself with no response, my husband reached out. The next day, a guy showed up without scheduling and checked out the trees and gave us a verbal quote but we never received a proposal via email. We called multiple times to obtain a proposal to no avail. I called again two weeks later and their office said they will reach out. A couple of days later, a random guy pulled up in an RV, walked through our front yard and checked out all

Kind, Prompt, Efficient, Thorough, Courteous, Reasonably Priced, Local.
They made short work out of a tall problem birch tree shared with our neighbors.

I called North Wood to see if they provided a wood chipping service. Daryl returned my call and explained they don’t provide this service, but he pointed me in the direction of those who do. Courteous, responsive and helpful shouldn’t be rare attributes in a business, but in my experience it’s rare to have someone return your call, much less take the time to help. If I ever need a tree service, guess who I’m calling first?

Came to my house to remove a dead tree that was probably 100 feet tall. They cut the tree down rather quickly and then even cut up the tree into pieces so that I can chop it to use as fire wood. Left all the pieces in one section of my back yard so that I could still use the rest. The guys that came were super nice and even cut down some dead branches off of my other trees!

We called up the crew at North Woods and they came out, even during Covid, and it looks so much better
They even shaped up our other trees (ornamentals) in the front yard as part of the deal

I needed a very wide 70-foot tall tree removed in the back yard due to rot and disease. This was a huge job and needed someone who knew everything about taking down a tree that size with complete safety in mind. I decided to hire North Woods Tree Service after getting several estimates and also having a friend recommend North Woods. This tree was not only tall, but also very wide. It was rotting and due to its close vicinity to lots of buildings, removal needed to be done carefully. Daryl North and his crew did a fantastic job, ensuring that no property or vehicles were damaged in the process

Daryl and his team were a pleasure to work with. They removed a large holly tree from my backyard with impressive speed and care. Daryl is very friendly and communicative, and I wouldn't hesitate to work with North Woods again.

This company was superb in dropping on a lot of wood chip and needles. We subscribed to Chip Drop and the driver did an excellent job of positioning his truck so the the load went right where we needed it to be. Many thanks for a great service. Daryl and his team did a great job in removing several trees in our yard. He responded in a very timely manner when I needed to contact him with questions. He is a very nice guy and was on site with his crew. His prices are very reasonable. He worked the timing for the work around other work I was having done. I would definitely hire again or recommend him to others.

We had a tree leaning in our backyard that needed to be removed. Daryl responded very quickly to our inquiry, came out to do an estimate that day, and the tree was out just a day later. They did a wonderful job and cleaned up everything so well you wouldn't even have know they'd been there. The price was very reasonable, Daryl was easy to reach and had great communication with us.
