Salt Rising Bread?
Nope, not even remotely. [See UPDATE below]
The bread was fine, if all you want is normal whitebread. I was raised on my grandmother's salt rising bread. This did not look like salt rising. Did not smell like it. And did not even remotely taste like it. A ripoff. This was plain old white bread.
Beware of buying what this bakery is calling Salt Rising bread. If you have never had Salt Rising, you might have no way of knowing the difference. But believe me, once you have real Salt Rising toast, you will never forget it. It's not a "variety" of white bread. It is a whole nother

The smell is delightful in this shop and one of the few places in Ohio to buy Springerle cookies. These old German cookies take a long time to make and are only available in November through December, so buy now and freeze them for other special occasions. Sending my father to pick-up some for our holiday feast.

Unfortunately, I ordered a Dobos Tort arrived in not very pleasant condition, I contacted the company their motivation was disgraceful. I will never order anymore from them I do not trust them, they suggest that will come to one agreement with you, they are lying, and are very dishonest. Be careful before order anything from them.

They had delicious King Cake for Fat Tuesday, and at a fair price! Everyone loved the cake. This was my first purchase from the bakery, (new to the area) but it won't be my last.
Second Review:
Ordered a Great Gatsby themed cake and cupcakes for my wife's birthday party- they were delicious and everyone wanted to know where they were from! Thanks again Dobo's!!

We moved here from Indiana over 4 years ago and found this bakery as we looked for a new one to make cakes for our special occasions. This place is an absolute gem! They do such a phenomenal job and make each cake with passion. We have not bought a cake that disappointed us. They have also made every cake design we requested as where other bakeries turned down certain requests. You cannot beat their value and craftsmanship! Make Dobo’s your next stop!
Side note, their donuts and pastries are to die for but get there early on the weekens!

I’ve eaten lots of bakery goods in my life time. From actual home town bakeries! I’m over 70 years old. Do Bo’s in Piqua Ohio is by far the best ever. No one else’s even comes close. Staff always friendly. Bake goods always fresh. If you never have tried them. You are missing out. Too the owner and staff, fantastic job! Lee Thompson. Under Lock & Key

I reached out to this bake shop with about a week’s notice requesting a cake my a child’s birthday party. I was blown away with how great they did with so little details. I requested a double layer (one layer vanilla, one layer chocolate) 9 inch round cake that had dinosaurs. The cake was phenomenal (taste and looks) and only cost $30 - I told them they way undercharged me especially since I only gave them a week’s notice.
They were also so responsive to my questions on social media. That might not matter to other people but the ease of contact and responding to my questions is really what

Excellent customer service!! I cannot say enough about how amazing they are to work with! I'm new to the area and was looking for a cake to be made for my 14 year old daughter last minute (very last minute-think 2 hours) they not only accommodated my request but outdid themselves! Upon arrival I was greeted by the most friendly ladies! The place smelled so good! Everything was fresh and delicious! I would recommend them to anyone! They are wonderful and Blessed me in so many ways! I will definitely be back for more yummy treats!

Stopped in this evening during Harvest Days. We purchased a jelly filled donut, which was very good, A+. Tried the pizza donut, which was just okay. Very creative item, however. My dog loved her doggie donut. I had read the reviews on their cookies, and was hoping they got a bad rap. So, bought an iced sugar cookie, painted like a pumpkin. Although it was super cute, it was unfortunately, exactly as the reviews described: hard, dry, and tasteless. The owner, Cindy, was friendly and knowledgeable, which I appreciated. I really wanted to love Dobo’s, but the quality/taste wasn’t what I had hoped
