Both of our wonderful schools offer programs for Infants through Kindergarten, and our Eagan school offers Montessori education through 3rd grade. All of our Lead Teachers are Montessori Teacher trained. Our schools are open from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday - Friday. Our school day is 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Our full school day consists of a morning and afternoon Montessori session, along with various group activities. Montessori is a philosophy and method of education which emphasizes the potential of the young child and which develops this potential by utilizing specially trained teachers and specially designed teaching materials.
Effective learning takes place best in an environment that allows the child the freedom to make discoveries while providing ground rules and programmed materials which allow a child to move from hands on concrete manipulation to abstract mastery.

The Montessori classroom offers over 500 unique self-teaching materials. These materials accommodate many levels of ability. They are not "teaching aids" in the traditional sense, because their goal is not the external one of teaching children skills or imparting knowledge through "correct usage." Rather, their goal is an internal one of aiding children's mental development and self-construction.
Due to the unique nature of this global pandemic, many usual events will be postponed or cancelled for this school year. Some events will be dependent on the pandemic situation, and may change as necessary. Permission slips will be sent home 2-3 weeks prior to each event. Any applicable fees must be paid and signed permission slips returned in order to attend each event.

My 2 nephews have gone here over the past 6 years and I'm always impressed with what they learn. They have structured play with a purpose, they are taught to help themselves (wash hands, put toys away, take care of their dishes, push in their chairs and so on) and they learn how to give speeches/ be in front of their peers. They have extra options available like yoga, soccer shots, dance and so on. Their teacher turn over is low as most of them have been there 10 plus yrs which tells you how good of a work environment it is. Because of all this I have elected to put my daughter in daycare here

This is the first daycare we brought our daughter to. I was extremely nervous, as a first time mother, to be leaving my infant with unknown people. However, my daughter adores all of the teachers there. She still loves her teachers from the infant room like Ms. Danielle and Ms. June. Now she’s is in the toddler room and most days runs in ahead of us and doesn’t even say goodbye because she’s so excited to go inside and play. Ms. Sara has been so reassuring and accommodating. They have also handled the COVID crisis extremely well. We have loved being apart of the Minnesota Montessori in Shakopee
