Services
John McGettigan, MD, who runs the practice, is one of the most respected physicians in Tucson. He has years of experience, especially in providing specialized care. The other staff comprises physicians, physician assistants as well as nurse practitioners. We also have practitioners who specialize in sports medicine, hormone and age management, and more.
Growing scientific research claims that we are generally only as healthy as our lifestyle supports. What we eat and drink, our activity level, how we spend our time, how we manage stress and so much more contribute to our health, well being. A healthy diet is essential for good health and an active lifestyle.
At Quality of Life, health care is performed and managed by your personal provider, who often collaborates with other health professionals. This provides patient advocacy in the health care system to accomplish cost-effective and equitable care by coordination of health care services. On the other hand, urgent care is more like a walk-in clinic and may treat a variety of acute illnesses or injuries.
QLMC has a comprehensive sexual medicine program serving men and women in Tucson. Our diverse team of specialists includes your primary care provider, sexual medicine experts, mental health counselors and more. Importantly we treat sexual disorders in the intimacy of a family practice setting, assuring a comfortable, confidential environment in which we treat your sexual disorder as part of treating your whole person.
Our treatment for chronic pain aims to reduce pain, restore functionality, increase mobility and restore quality of life. While these treatments may not takeaway all your pain, they can help to a large extent as part of a pain management program. The professionals here at QLMC understand the severity and the frequency of pain.

Where do I start? I became a patient maybe 10 years ago. I was initially very very pleased with the service that I was provided. I loved my primary care/pain provider John V. He was so caring and actually listened to me about all of my concerns. I moved about 4 hours away and still continued with Qlmc because of John and his service. Over the past few years I've had problems with billing and scheduling. To the point where I will get mail stating I owe money from 2 years ago. Its hard to owe money when you pay cash upfront before every appointment. I eventually got a credit which I then used 2 weeks

Found this place through my insurance while looking for a Primary Care. Their website lists numbers for their research and for their practice. Calling the practice line puts you in touch with a research recruiter, not the front desk for primary care. When transferred to the front desk, someone answered and immediately hung up. I guess that is one way to let people know they aren't accepting new patients. lol

I have been a client with QLMC for more than a decade. Things were moving smoothly until recently. Aside from the fact that I have to bang on doors to get my Rx refilled, for the first time I had to use their offices for my bloodwork, for which I made it clear that I would have to pay out of pocket. I was told my Margarita that I would have to pay around $70.00. She actually went through the trouble of placing me on hold, while she was trying to get the pricing information for me. They did not charge me on the day of my appointment. I received a bill that said I owed 0.00. This didn’t sound right

I really like their location on a bus line; but I had trouble as a new patient; when I made my first appointment 2020.7.1, I was told by the front desk that there was a covid-19 lockdown, so that my appt would be by phone on 8.4; but then the doctor had to cancel that, so the appointment was move to 9.1, but after nobody called that day and I asked… why, they said I had been misinformed: a new patient appt is always in-person, ie, in the office, never over the phone. . that is going to be a serious injustice if they bill me for not showing up.

Staff member "Margarita" set up an appointment with me last week and called back today asking if I was told that Doctor Cindy Finch Benoy was moving out of state. Margarita then told me there were no other doctors available at the Quality of Life Medical Facility, even though there are current postings for other doctors taking in new patents at the facility.

I played phone tag for almost a month only to be told my Dr is not seeing anyone at this time. I then receive a call wanting to set up an appointment followed by a call the next day saying there's no need for me to come in. After telling Mercedes how frustrating this was she denied ever hearing from me this past month. I then told her I'm not coming back and I'll be finding a new Doctor her response was "you should know your doctor is leaving this practice anyway."

Hold times, no matter when I called, were ridiculously long. I printed and filled out the new patient forms at home, then when I came in for my appt, I was handed new, blank forms without the receptionist even making eye contact with me. I arrived 20 mins early, then waited 45 mins PAST the time of my appt to be seen. I watched as they turned away… another patient who was 6 mins late for his appt. My lab results took THREE weeks. I had to make several calls (see hold times above) to ask for them. My provider finally called and read them over the phone, but over three weeks out, and I still

Met with new physician. She was satisfactory. My usual physician of 7+ years at this location is superb. He actually cares about his patients; which in this day and age is rare. So hard to find a good Dr. Always answers any questions I have and provides suggestions/ info. on new treatments that might benefit me.

Everyone at this office is extremely professional and Polite.Any time I leave a voice message , which is rare, I get a response within 24hr-48hrs. My primary care physician is Cindy F. Benoy and She is the best! She takes her time to listen, she's up front and kind! Even when it comes to certain areas that she might not specialize in she takes the time to figure out the best options/solution for you.

I chose this office because I recently switched insurances and this was the first place to pop up on my list of in-network providers. I went in for a wellness exam and one other little thing that had been bothering me. When I walked in, I immediately felt a little uneasy because of how dirty the waiting room was. But I had already taken half a day off of work so I wasn't just going to walk out, but now I wish I had.
The bad experience started the second I spoke to one of the women at the front desk. I walked up to give them my name and this girl puts up a finger and says "hold on" while she pulls

Today was my first visit at Quality of Life Medical Center and I have to say I was really impressed! I have been going to doctors the last 10 years and this Medical Center is second to none when it comes to patient treatment, caring staff and a warm feeling! I came to Quality Of Life because Dr. Ida Heath is here and in my last 10 years have found her to be a fantastic doctor with high ethics ....she's the doctor you had as a kid....caring, very knowledgeable and has great bedside manner! Thank You Dr. Heath!!
