Small motel, extremely clean and comfortable with close access to restaurants, Whole Foods, and a 15 minute walk to SAP. My friend, whose family used to own a motel, and used to clean the rooms, was very impressed with how clean the room was. They even called us about 10 minutes after we arrived to make sure all was okay! Bring earplugs - city noise. I slept great!

The building and rooms were very clean, but the maintenance and staffing was a little questionable. It's a smaller hotel, so I get that they might not have staff available at all times, but it was a bit difficult to find someone even during the main check in/check out times.
The first room we had to move out of because the handle broke off of the bath/shower. When we got to the new room, I had to take a bunch of plastic off of the lamp shade. (Shows it was new, at least!) We thought that the fridge had just been plugged in, and that's why it wasn't cold. Alas, the fridge was not working. The light

I booked a room not expecting much, but once I arrived it was nothing but pleasant surprises!
The giant pink neon sign is reminiscent of a 70's era seedy dive motel, but that's where the similarities end. The rooms are clean and spacious, the bathrooms well-kept with plenty of hot water. The staff is attentive and straight-forward. I had a late flight and couldn't check in until midnight of my reservation and they were available and amenable letting me have a late check-in, and friendly the whole time.

When reserving a hotel room, you always wonder what you're getting yourself into, especially if is not a part of a well-known chain. I have to say, though, that my experience at the Flamingo Motel was great all around. Clean rooms (appears as though they may have been recently renovated) and quite spacious! Check-in and check-out process was very quick, smooth, and handled in a friendly and professional manner. Very good location with respect to SAP Center and Diridon Amtrak station as well!

Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived at the Motel way before check in time, and the girl at the front desk held our bags in storage because our room wasn't ready yet. She also gave us two bottles of water and told us where to go get Indian food. The room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. The Motel is located close to downtown and lots of restaurants nearby. We will stay there again!

Decent budget hotel, was nice having a fridge and micryin room. Fire alarm went off randomly in the middle of night twice though when we turned on AC. Hefty room deposit as well ($250 to make sure no one smokes? ), and it looked like they may be having renovation issues with caution tape and support beams everywhere. I'd stay again if price was my main concern, it has everything you need; but definitely not a luxury hotel.

While on the outside, The Flamingo looks like the sort of place which would charge hourly, the rooms were clean and fairly modern, including a fridge and a microwave. The rooms seem to have decent sound insulation, as there wasn't a lot of ambient noise.
And, unlike the last hotel I stayed in, there was plenty of hot water.

Great value here! The rooms are clean,the beds are comfortable. Several restaurants nearby . LOTS of parking space onsite. Walking distance to the SAP center. Who could ask for more? Only had one minor problem which was when we entered the room the smoke detector was chirping because it was low on battery power. Mentioned it to the friendly people at the front desk and in less than five minutes some one was there to take care of it. Definitely will be staying here again the next time we come to an event at the SAP.
