Shakertown is proud to now offer a new line of cedar panel products. Dolly Varden is clear, vertical grain Western Red Cedar (the highest grade), which is laminated to an exterior backing. This tongue and groove cedar panel system delivers a stronger, more durable engineered paneling with qualities not found in solid cedar.

The Shakertown(R) Craftsman 1-Course Cedar Shingle Panel is the newest development from the company that brought you the original cedar shingle panel. Manufactured using only the finest Western Red Cedar vertical-grain heartwood, the new Shakertown Craftsman Panel features a full plywood back, a thick 3/8 shingle butt and overlocking end-joints for a seamless appearance.
Shakertown's Cedar Cove(R) shingle panels are crafted by bonding Western Red Cedar mixed grain shingles to exterior grade plywood, creating 8-foot self-aligning panels. The siding is coated on all sides with an oil primer to protect from the elements, and is ready for top coat paing. Cedar Cove shingle panels install 10-times faster than individual shingles, providing authentic cedar shingle coverage in less time, with less labor and waste.
Dolly Varden is a classic tongue & grooved Western Red Cedar Paneling that uses Shakertown's 60 years of experience to laminate cedar to exterior backing. This system provides you a stronger, more durable engineered paneling with qualities not found in solid cedar.
Composition and Materials: Dolly Varden Tongue and Groove cedar panels are composed of genuine Western Red Cedar and fir bonded with exterior adhesives (under pressure) into an exclusive 7-ply engineered panel.The bonding method of full surface gluing meets the weather test and other requirements for exterior siding as specified under U.S. PS 1-09.
