Services
Patients and families of Putnam County HomeCare & Hospice often wonder, "How will we ever thank you?" and "How can we honor our loved one?" It's easy: giving back honors your loved one and supports other families, which is all the thanks we need. Your tax deductible donation might be for a memorial, a special occasion, a fundraising event, or simply to show that you value the services that Putnam County HomeCare & Hospice provides.
In general, the goal of home health care is to treat an illness or injury. Where possible, home health care helps you get better, regain your independence, and become as self-sufficient as possible. Home health care may also help you maintain your current condition or level of function. Home health care is a wide range of health care services that can be given in your home for an illness or injury.
The philosophy of Putnam County Hospice is the belief that dying is an integral part of living. Hospice allows one to live each day fully and as alert and pain-free as possible. Hospice treats the person along with the disease. We encourage the celebration of life every day. Emotional, physical, spiritual and social support is provided to the patient and family throughout the process of both illness and bereavement.
Palliative care is defined as "relieving or soothing the symptoms of a disease or disorder." Many people mistakenly believe this means you receive palliative care only when you can't be cured. Actually, palliative medicine can be provided by one doctor while other doctors work with you to try to cure illness.

We have used Putnam County Home Health on several occasions over the past 5 years with my mother. We have used all aspects of the services they provide except for hospice.
Anytime my mother is hospitalized I request that Putnam County Home Health is our provider when she is returned to her home.
They are pleasant, outgoing, and encouraging. I would recommend them anytime to people in this area.
