Our goal is to help those who are active to remain active as they get older and to help those who haven't been active to become active and to enjoy moving their bodies again. We do this through a holistic movement approach during personal training sessions. Strength Den is a Private Fitness Facility where you won't have to worry about a crowd, the focus will always be you, the student.

Services
When choosing a gym, it's hard to know if you will like it before stepping foot into the facility. We like to think we are accepting of all but we understand it is best to be safe than sorry. This is why we schedule an Introductory Zoom Session. So you can decide if we are the right fit.
During the Introductory Zoom session, we will sit down with you to discuss your health history, any past or current injuries you might have, and your specific goals.We will take this time to get to know you, learn about everything you're looking to accomplish, and what obstacles have been in your way.

I hadn't worked out at all for about 2 years when I joined a local gym two years ago that was offering a 21-day jump start program. I was 52 years old and menopause was kicking my butt. Denzel was one of the first trainers I had in the program, and he was the one assigned to me most consistently throughout the 21 days.

I highly recommend training with Denzel at the Strength Den. I am entering my fourth month of weekly semi-private training sessions, and I am so so grateful for Denzel and this incredible fitness environment that he has created.

I have been going to Strength Den for a few months now for help incorporating strength training in my exercise regime. Denzel put a plan together for me and after a few months I feel stronger, more toned and inspired to continue on this path. Denzel is knowledge, patient and mixes it up every time, keeping it interesting. I would highly recommend Strength Den for anyone looking for personal / small group fitness training or help meeting any of your fitness goals.

Denzel is a magician! I came in wanting to get stronger and more toned, without getting buffed and bulky, and I have achieved so much more than that! I am stronger now than I ever imagined I could be and have beaten two injuries - one from running, the other from skiing. And he whipped my posture and balance into shape while he was at it. Best investment I have ever made.

I took my first group class two days ago and I'm going back tonight! Denzel clearly knows what he's doing. He's different than other trainers I've had in the past because he is super focused on proper form and is really attentive to how you are moving through the workout. The studio is super airy and open, the class is challenging but FUN and it flew by which rarely happens.

I've been working with Denzel for 3 months to ty to regain strength after two major back surgeries a few years ago. Because my back has a lot of metal holding it together it is completely inflexible. While protecting my back I've let the rest of my body become very de-conditioned.

Denzel's awesome! His down to earth calm and generous demeanor have been so helpful to almost 55 year old me, in just one month! I've been going a couple times a week for 30 minutes with a group of women. I came in very disabled as I broke parts of my low back 3 years ago with no lasting success from PT or chiro. His custom designed super slow strength training has focused on regaining power from the core, and is offered in an affordable and peaceful setting with lots of fresh air. Thanks Strength Den!

Denzel's workouts are truly amazing. I almost don't want to write this review because I feel like his class is such a hidden gem in Mill Valley. I always look forward to going, and keep coming back every week! The space is awesome- super open with natural light. He encourages everybody to go at their own pace and pays attention to each person in the class. I have gotten so much stronger since I started-- yet I never feel totally worn out after workouts.

I've been going to this class for several months now and it is the perfect workout routine for me. Denzel leads a class that focuses on the fundamentals and proper body mechanics of each exercise. It is a great class for developing core strength and really learning the technique before you dive into high reps. His intervals are short enough that they don't completely wipe you out afterwards, this is particularly important to me as a volunteer firefighter so that I can be ready to physically perform when the time is needed. Since my time working out at the Strength Den, my mobility and strength have improved drastically. I got shoulder surgery several years ago, and since I've been working out with Denzel, I have made noticeable strides in getting my strength fully back. The workouts are fun, and Denzel provides a lot of 1 on 1 attention to make sure that I am doing the movements correctly and effectively. I recommend the Strength Den for anyone looking to not only get stronger, but learn how to work out effectively.
