Services
Founded in 1992, Serenity Animal Hospital has been a staple in our community. Dedicated to pet parent education, community outreach and our adoption endeavors, we have helped enrich the lives of pets in southeast Michigan and beyond. Our helpful, friendly staff is here to help answer all of your questions.
Our team is here to help you. Our goal is to meet your needs as it pertains to the health and well-being of their pet. Our clients' pets are members of their family, and expect the same quality healthcare as they would for any other member of their family. Dr. Michalski is a native of the Sterling Heights area.
Annual and often Bi-Annual exams are recommended for all cats and dogs. After your pets Comprehensive Physical Exam, the doctors and technicians will talk to you about your pets health. Heartworm Testing - required for all dogs over 6 months of age. This test can be run in house or combined with Wellness Testing that goes to our lab.
We recommend that all dogs and cats take Heartworm and Flea Preventative all year round, for their entire lives. Dogs need to be tested for Heartworm Disease after they are 6 months of age if they have not been on preventative. They are then tested annually. We have a variety of Heartworm and Flea preventatives in stock to fit the needs of your pet.
Spays & Neuters - Spays and neuters are recommended at four months of age and at least four pounds in weight. All spays and neuters are sent home the same day and go home with pain and anti-inflammatory medication. We recommend pre-anesthetic bloodwork, fluids, a microchip and laser treatment for all spays and neuters.

Took Great Care of my Kitty! Who needed grooming due to a thyroid issue. She had become very matted! And shearing was the only option! She is doing much better with transdermal med for her thyroid! And the Great Grooming that Serenity provided!!!

They really go above and beyond at this vet office. My puppy is super shy and are amazing with her. And my 2 cats don't skip a beat after their visits. They have been reliable about responding to messages when I have questions too. And the fact they use a phone app petdesk to keep all my animals info straight is definitely a plus.

I use Serenity because they are knowledgeable about greyhounds. It's a great veterinarian hospital. They are not cheap as it takes money to run a veterinarian clinic well. But I trust the care that they give to my sighthounds.

Dr Sherman literally saved my dog's life. She was relentless about finding out what was wrong with our 2 year old lab mix - ended up being a rare blood disease. After spending 1000s of dollars on MRIs and tests she was the only one that helped. We have had over 9 extra years with our sweet Misty that we wouldn't have had if we didn't meet Dr Sherman. We are forever grateful.

My dog has been going to Serenity since she was a puppy. Same vet, same doctor. When I tell her "we're going to see Dr Julie" her tail starts wagging. That says alot. The whole staff is great with her and I trust them all with my baby girl.

Everything was great. I was really impressed on my first visit. Couldn’t have been any better! The staff was friendly and seemed happy to be there. Dr Meyer was awesome she really listened and took the time to make sure I was satisfied with any issues before I left, very friendly and caring. and I couldn’t want anything more. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone. The phone when I called was answered very quickly and I got an appointment in a very timely manner:) good job!!.
