Jamesport Vineyards
Our goal is to create wines of classic beauty - wines with balance, complexity and harmony. Our signature style has often been described as "an iron fist in a velvet glove, " a reference to the artful balance between ripeness and restraint, softness and structure. Few activities are more peaceful than sipping wine while surrounded by vines.

Steady drinking is sure to get the stomach grumbling; however, there aren't that many vineyards with solid dining options on the property. If you're looking to execute the perfect pairing while enjoying picturesque vineyard views, here are eight wineries offering fantastic food.
Services
Jamesport Vineyards is a father-son collaboration that began in 1986 making it one of the North Fork's oldest vineyards. Since Ron Goerler Sr. acquired the 165-year-old barn that houses the winery and tasting room a lot has changed, both aesthetically and agriculturally. The tasting room has increased to accommodate an ever growing number of visitors.
The candidate must have a passion for wine & food and a desire to learn the details of the wines we produce. Responsibilities include: Greeting customers promptly and courteously; guiding customers to wines they enjoy; setting up and cleaning up daily operations; stocking wine and retail merchandise in the tasting room; accurately performing daily wine inventory and money handling procedures.
Our winemaking team offers a new version of the favorite wine. We keep our wine lots separately throughout fermentation and aging. The final blends are performed right before bottling, once the wines have evolved to reveal all their true character and complexities. The resulting wines are dark and spicy, yet fruit-forward.

Had an amazing experience at Jamesport. Hostess was very nice and welcoming. We had a reservation and were seated right away. Wines selection was excellent, and the pizza was even better. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Rachel and her entire staff are the best in the business. They all know how to make you feel like you are having a glass of wine (which is amazing) at a friends house. Wine and pizza is extraordinary. The Goerler family has developed a winning team and A+ wine.

Food was outstanding. Cheese selection & fig jam on the charcuterie board were so delicious....pizza was perfect & so tasty! Warmed olives were so different.....very yummy as well! Perfectly paired snacks with wine....

The buttery Chardonnay & white blends were my personal favorites.

Small, homey, casual atmosphere that was comforting with friendly staff!

Enjoy..

This was a great place. The staff was extremely friendly. We had a great day outdoors, even though it was a scorcher that day. Luckily, they've got picnic style tables covered by umbrellas. People are safely separated and everyone has a designated server to tend to their needs. My family shared some amazing pizza options and we drank good wine.

It was a nice day trip.

This winery was so nice! Made reservations for inside and didn't have to wait-which was a plus. I enjoyed that it was 21+. I enjoyed not being around children at a winery and have to watch them running around. We had two flights, few glasses of wine, pizza, charred octopus and meatballs. Everything was delicious. The staff was very friendly and made great recommendations.

This was such a great place to go to end the summer 21 festivities. Though the limo could not be parked on site, he quickly found a place to wait while we enjoyed the food and wine. Our server Ethan was amazing, young and super knowledgeable. He helped our party of 12 keep the bill under $1000 and kept us laughing the entire time.

We had a very enjoyable lunch with a tasty Jamesport Cabernet Franc this afternoon.
Jamesport has spacious outdoor seating overlooking their gardens and vineyard and also has indoor seating.
.
While there, you must try their perfectly cooked brick oven pizzas, with a crispy crust cooked to perfection.
So good we ordered a second, we enjoyed first the Margarita Pizza, and then the Ange.
There is also a nice selection of starters, we enjoyed the Hummus with vegetables.
And how could I forget the wines!
The Cabernet Franc was a great choice, very smooth on the palate, we took home a bottle, and also

Unfriendly not family friendly and terrible hospitality. It's a joke. As someone in the wine business and a very large one in fact firs the grapes are rotting and terrible condition. So that's one problem. The other issue is the extreme rude staff or greeter you want to call her at the door. I would fire her in a minute. In an industry like this it's all about the experience!
You discriminate against families on the weekends even though here on Yelp you're "family friendly" that's a a joke. You're family friendly if I come on a weekday. Sorry some of us

Staff is amazing as is the environment & wine list. I usually prefer a full body red , though what I thought might of been my misfortune in ordering a white, this Saddleback white Chardonnay was an actual blessing. I don't know that I've ever had or will enjoy as fine a glass of white as this reserve 2018. Outstanding French Oak barreled with wit, charm, character in a upper mid level balance & tone rounded with a daring body & exquisite form. This was a recommendation from the delightful Sommelier who insisted wearing a belt is highly overrated.

Hope to return soon and

While hanging out with some friends and other couples in Long Island, we decided to stop at this winery to try it out. The wood fire pizza sign outside caught our attention, as that sounded good. There was plenty of parking here as well. Luckily, we were able to get a table for 6 outside, without a reservation. You should make a reservation in advance though, but since we came really early in the day, there were some extra tables. Once seated, we started out ordering a bottle of riesling. This was very good. Then, we ordered a bottle of merlot. I enjoyed this one much more, as merlot is

Wish I could leave zero or negative stars. Rude and unaccomodating staff. Waitress effectively dumped a platter of ice cold waters on one of the members of my party then deemed it sufficient to take 25% of the cheapest bottle we purchased. Really going above and beyond.

Then to top it off, one of the staff tried to fight us on the way out. Real classy joint.

Very nice winery with delicious pizza and excellent wine. Only complaint is with the rigid hostess dispensing of where we should sit. It was a hot day and I thought we were getting a reserved table under a new over hang, however, Rose put us out In the sun and when we inquired about assigning us a different table we were denied and told the sun will be moving shortly. It was interesting how people after us got seated under the nice cool overhang.

Currently they only take reservations. so not drop in. Making reservations was super easy, Go to website . They ask for a 5$ fee per person but once u arrive they return the fee to you card.

The tasting was a bit pricy, 25$ thankfully the pour was generous. I loved how we can choose what wine we wanted to taste, that was refreshing. Our waitress/ hostess Jennifer was so knowledgeable and helped us tremendously.

We started with cheese meat platter, super delish and Serrano was amazing. We finished with some pizza. The Serrano had a lemon ricotta Serrano ham and pesto sauce. After the tasting

What a great winery!!! Hostess was fantastic especially considering she was handling the door and taking people to their tables by herself! Watched some customers be extremely rude & impatient with the staff but they held their cool & did their jobs with grace under fire! Rachel was amazing as our server...super knowledgeable & so nice!! Wines were delicious and pizza was awesome! We liked it so much we wound up joining the wine club!

Nice winery. Some of the staff are friendly (our waitress was, but not the hostess who made us wait more than 10 min and then came saying "our hours are very strictly and you are 3 min late from 6pm our cutoff for tasting, so we can take you for some wine but tasting is out of question 😳😳😳). Waitress was nice enough to offer some tasting anyhow. Wines are of good quality. Their backyard is nicely landscaped.

Wine was good, pizza ok - overpriced, and meatballs were ok as well 2 meatballs for $16...

Most disappointing was that they DON'T allow dogs (even outside). There was TONS of space to be far from everyone. We have a small dog, emotional support animal, and they still did not allow... Such a shame, they used to allow dogs and did not list their change in policy and that they did not allow dogs at time of reservation.

Had a great time with family in the gorgeous September weather. The company was great, the outdoor atmosphere was beautiful. I made a reservation a month in advance because Covid and was excited to have lunch here since they have a pizza oven but was disappointed when they sent me a text message one day beforehand to say that the pizza will be closed that day. Other than that letdown we had a great time and ordered some crackers and cheese.

Jamesport is a bit smaller than other vineyards, but more intimate! Highly recommend getting their brick oven pizzas, they're to die for! The kitchen opens at 12PM. I do wish the cheeses/meats were presented better rather than just giving us packaged everything.

I've visited Vineyards in Tuscany and Napa and Jamesport makes those experiences feel inexpensive. Seriously.

I've been wine tasting in this area before, so I guess this is just the first time that I wasn't too drunk to care. It's like $25 for some cheese, and then you need to pay another $12 for crackers and another $7 if you want them to bring you over a jar of hot honey. Wine flights are over $30 dollars and glasses are $16-18+. So yes, for sure pricey.

We went for the artichoke and goat cheese pizza, which seemed like a bit of a better value for twenty dollars. The pizza
