I'm Mirtha Bucaro, and I founded B&B Floral Design in 2003 after I spent nineteen years in the wedding photography industry with my husband, Edward. I became a wedding florist because it allowed me to use my creative eye, passion for color and beauty, and deep experience in the wedding industry in one exciting avenue.
I don't even know where to start. I am an extremely picky person, and I go around in life expecting people to never be able to live up to my expectations. I believed the same would happen with my wedding. After meeting with the you, I knew you were going to be my best chance of having the flowers for my wedding be anywhere close to how I had imagined.

It was a pleasure working with Mirtha! As I interviewed florists for our wedding day, no one came close to Mirtha's attention to detail as she carefully listened to my preferences as a client. After our initial consultation, I felt a great connection with her and that she understood my vision for our special day. Mirtha is HANDS DOWN amazing. My (now husband) and I were interviewing florists for our wedding and Mirtha was first. I know you're not supposed to say yes to the first one, but we had to. Mirtha was friendly, professional, and really took the time to get to know us in our first meeting. Fast forward to the wedding-- I actually didn't get to see Mirtha when she was setting up, but when I entered the reception area it was stunning. I got so many compliments from my friends and relatives on the beautiful floral arrangements, the bouquets, my hair floral, and the flowers on the cake.

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to review B&B! I married back in March 2014 and was CLUELESS. I didn't have a color theme, a firm budget and just didn't know what I wanted - I was also getting married in TWO MONTHS by the time I contacted Mirtha. I'm sure I would be anyones nightmare.

I was extremely happy not only with her talent for flower arrangements but with her outstanding and gracious personality. I can't thank Mirtha enough for all her hard work on my wedding Sep 30th, 2016. It was exactly how I did dream my fairy tale. I still have not got my wedding picture to post some of them for you guys but I will as soon as I get them. My wedding guest still remember my center pieces and my bouquet even today.

I would highly recommend having Mirtha as your florist!. In the beginning, I was very overwhelmed but she made my experience as painless as possible. I had so many ideas in my head and she made note of the details, type of flowers and colors that I wanted for the flowers. Mirtha did a wonderful job going above and beyond my expectations. I couldn't ask for a better florist.What I loved about her was how personable she was and if I had any concerns, she would make sure they were addressed. I have nothing but great things to say about Mirtha! She did flowers for our ceremony on 09/26/15 and our reception on 10/03/15. She is friendly, punctual, creative, and hardworking. She made our floral vision come to life, as well as make helpful suggestions along the way. Many of our guests remarked to us after the reception that the flowers were the best that they had ever seen, and my husband and I definitely agree. Mirtha is the best! Mirtha was recommended by the hall we had our wedding at (Freedom Hall & Gardens in Santa Clara) and I couldn't be more thankful! My wedding was on 10/6/2012 and she went above & beyond and exceeded my expectations! Our flowers & centerpieces were even better than I had imagined them to be. I got so many compliments on the color combos and my bouquet (solid purple calla lillies embellished with small purple crystals on the tips).

From my first inquiry, she was amazing! She answered ALL of my emails in a very timely manner and helped us find our perfect vision for our wedding! I was referred to Mirtha for my wedding through my coworkers (two sisters) who both used Mirtha for their weddings and had nothing but great things to say about her. I emailed her for a consultation and she was very quick to respond (I caught her at her computer at the right time). My friend got married in 2006 and I was a bridesmaid in her wedding. During the whole wedding not only could I not stop smelling my beautiful bouquet but, I could not stop admiring how perfectly put together and beautiful they were like someone had taken an hour just to put together MY bouquet...and I was just a bridesmaid! I took notice to the flowers but since I was nowhere near getting married I did not inquire on who the designer was. So even though I didnt know it yet,

Mirtha is expensive and way too quick to take your money. I called her as a recommendation for my church for my godfathers funeral. We were so upset that we realized the $250 per arrangement was expensive but at the time we mentioned it and she said she'd be able to get us a smaller arrangement within our budget of $150 per arrangement. As I was saying goodbye she quickly mentioned that their would be a small delivery charge and to keep in mind our arrangement would be much smaller. When I called my credit card company I found out that the "small" delivery fee was $50.

After she raised the price by more than $3000, and told me she would be unable to get a particular orchid I wanted in my bouquet which she tried to convince me was tacky we fired her and began looking else where. Mirtha is wonderful!!!! We chose to go with her because she was very knowledgeable and down to earth. She told us what would and would not stand the heat. Our flowers looked wonderful and everyone enjoyed taking them home from the reception.
Each time I called Mirtha she did return my call very quickly and always was up to date with the changes we had made.
I would recommend Mirtha to anyone who needs any type of floral arrangement!
