Crazy Horse Family Campground
Named the Caledonian Record's "Best Campground of the North Country for 2019" as well as WMUR TV's Viewer's Choice THREE YEARS IN A ROW as Best Campground in New Hampshire for 2018, 2019, and 2020!. Nestled in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and close to all the major White Mountain attractions, you'll find a jewel of a campground.

Over 100 acres of forests and fields to explore, with access to a nearby 12-mile-long body of water, providing an idyllic spot for fishing, boating, and swimming. During the Winter months, find DIRECT access to all state snowmobile trails, with no need to haul your snowmobile trailer anywhere else!.
Services
FIRES must be attended at all times and extinguished before retiring, or no later than 11 PM. FIRES must be constructed so as not to endanger the environment - NO HIGHER THAN 2 FEET TALL!. Owners are required to clean up after their pets - we provide plastic bags in the office for this purpose. Drugs and misuse of alcoholic beverages will not be tolerated anywhere on Crazy Horse property.
Let me start off by saying that there is a certain special something about the staff & seasonal campers at this campground! From the phone call to reserve the site until the very last moment on the campground when we stopped by the office at check out, the owners made us feel so comfortable!

Pros: Hot showers (bring quarters & run hot water in sink for 4-5 mins before turning shower on & the shower water will warm up way faster), family-friendly, welcoming staff, pool, activities for kids (candy bar bingo) & adults (corn hole tournament), family activities (DJ on some Saturday evenings), camping store, late check-in, clean bathrooms, clean/well-maintained campground, trailer rentals, firewood purchased on campground delivered by staff, attentive owners that genuinely care for the campers, reinforcement of quiet hours, owners keep watch over those entering campground to ensure only registered campers are coming in, separation between sites is pretty decent, dish sink to do your dishes in, playground with a large field for kids to run around in, open all year round, 10 minute drive to Dunk's & Walmart.
Here are our events for the 2021 season. Please note that all activities posted on the website are subject to change without prior notice, and please understand that all information here is updated on a regular basis. All activities are provided for Crazy Horse Family Campground campers ONLY! We can't wait to have fun with you and your family!.

Worst Experience We Have ever encountered happened on Friday afternoon....Our Friends who we have camped with many times needed Our help backing in their camper because her husband is handicapped and wasn't able to as well as hook up..We followed them in and this guy comes down and instead of listening to the reason why we were there and the fact that we weren't planning on staying, He just started being very rude to us and telling us that we were speeding thru the sites which we weren't and that we didn't check in to the office even after telling him we didn't plan on staying..Pure case of Handicapped

This is by far our favorite campground. We are seasonals. The owners are extremely helpful and accommodating to everyone. They care about ALL their customers. Basically, if you follow the (very reasonable) rules, there will be no issues. Follow quiet hours, no issues. Large fires in fire pit, -huge issue. Not checking in guests, huge safety issue. Speeding through campground, huge safety issue. Fun activities for Adults and children. Peaceful, very clean, amazing owners and staff. Highly recommend Crazy Horse!

Called and asked for a grass site, when we got there we were put in a whole which was mud. When we told the owners that is not what we asked for we were told “ I will bring you some pallets to walk on.” The owners were rude. We left immediately and will never go back.

This is a great campground with incredibly friendly and amazingly helpful owners. The location is easy access and a good launching point for white mountain adventures. The town access road is a little tough with a large fifth wheel. Our site was a little tight with utilities in awkward places. However, the owners, pond, pool, bike riding, lack of breed restrictions all make up for the minimal lack of real estate. So much to do close by. Facilities look and smell.clean. these owners are doing a great job. This campground is big rig friendly and the tent sites looked good as well. Quiet despite being

Stayed here a couple of nights this last month to visit friends. Staff is very nice. Grounds are pretty & well kept. Spot we were in was pretty level & plenty long for our 40 ft rv and our toad. Nice spacing between the sites.
I just booked another night for our return trip in a few days! Littleton is a charming little town if you stay to explore. Reminds me of Lifetime movie towns

Without a doubt my favorite campground. The people who work there are so genuine and nice. They led us and all the visitors we had over the weekend right to our site even brought our wood bundles there for us. The price is almost too good to be true. Cheapest site we have visited. The pool is small but was hardly ever crowded. I love the simplicity of this campground. I've always been to huge over the top campgrounds. And I can say I rather be here than any of those. We had such a good time we actually canceled our reservation to another campground to return to crazy horse! The tent sites are very

We spent 4 days, 3 nights there and all we can say is thank you for making our camping trip one to remember. The sites are beautiful and clean as well as very spacious. Patty and Doug were able to accommodate our family so that we would be able to have sites next to each other. The most important thing to us was the ability to bring our dog which is our baby with us and they are super dog friendly. We felt very welcomed. The only complaint I would have is the bathroom sometimes not being sanitary and the shower took quarters which sometimes they didn't work but honestly it is a place to visit

This is how a private campground should be! We usually prefer state and national parks because they are less commercial, more wooded and secluded, etc. We are not into the "amusement park" atmosphere that many private campgrounds offer. Crazy Horse was wonderful, all the sites are nice and clean, they have a beautiful pool, and best of all no attitude from the staff. Patty and Doug, the owners, are onsite and very friendly and welcoming, they obviously enjoy being the hosts, and enjoy their customers. The sites for big rigs may be a bit small by some standards, but they were very

This is my third stay at a full-service campground with my new Aliner; though I'm still a relative newbie, I'm quickly learning how to be a better consumer of this business type, and what my expectations are for the money.

Apart from Crazy Horse's slick website and a pitch from an acquaintance on Facebook, the prices looked a bit high. Calling late to make one overnight reservation, the woman on the phone said that "Water & Electric: Daily $39" site was bait -- it was only available for tents -- that "pop-up trailers use more electricity," and that I&apos

My first time here and it was great. You are right in the middle of the woods. Almost every site has water and electric. They have a large playground and nice pool. The campground is just a few minutes from I93 and within 20 minutes of most major sights. The camp store is small with not much food but Walmart and Shaw's are 10 minutes away. I highly recommend this place

We have been camping here twice so far, we love it! Patty and Doug are wonderful hosts, ready to lend a hand or make a suggestion. The grounds are well maintained and ready for whatever type of camping you do. We have a travel trailer and 3 dogs that we bring along and have never had a problem. Its a family campground so kids are playing and roaming around as it should be. For my birthday and our last camping of the year, we are heading back this weekend! I cant wait, what better bday gift could a girl ask for??

Update 3/9/17
We love it so much that we are going seasonal!

Great campground in a great location! My family has been visiting Crazy Horse for 11 years. There's a site for every type of camper...whether you want a secluded wooded site or an open grassy one. The playground is one of the best I've seen. The pool and bathrooms are kept immaculate. Right down the road is a boat launch to Moore Dam which is a beautiful secluded lake.

Just recently the campground was sold to NEW OWNERS, Doug and Patty. They're making some great improvements and are fabulous people who love to watch people enjoying themselves. If you've visited before or if

Great campground...and I've been camping and backpacking for more than 40 years. The new owners, since this June are amazing. Aside from all the amenities that are available...they keep the place clean as a whistle. Going to the bathroom is not a mystery of "what should I not touch?", but a pleasant experience of...this is the way it should be. Very nice is not doing it proper justice.
And then there's the owners...my daughter and friend didn't show up at the campsite when expected and it was getting late. I didn't have any cell reception and we couldn't get

Last Friday I decided on Saturday I would head north for some camping and hiking and I was pleased to have found this campground that had a spot open. I had visions of me and my dog relaxing by a fire, no kids, no husband, resting up for the hiking we would do. My imagination got the best of me. The folks at Crazy Horse are pleasant enough and when I was escorted to my site, the gentlemen made the quick decision to give me site 1 instead of site 2 since site 3 had kids and he thought it might be better for me and my dog. Considering the large family in site 3 had spread their stuff all around

Year after year we return to this campground all the way from CT and highly recommend it to anyone we talk to. The sites are quite large and it's always so quiet. Everyone is very friendly. Can't wait to plan our next trip :)
