Direct Primary Care-West Mi
Direct Primary Care is a different approach to providing health care. Instead of the pay-per-visit model, you pay a flat monthly fee in exchange for unlimited visits to the doctor and discounts on labs, prescriptions, and other services - no health insurance required. Direct Primary Care is NOT health insurance, nor does DPC West Michigan participate in health insurance plans.

Most importantly, you get more one-on-one with your doctor and build a relationship with them. Visit us today and experience a better way to get quality health care. This is the way medicine should be - when I call I talk to the doctor! Who knew that was possible! I have so many health problems, and for the first time in 32 years I feel like I'm in good hands.
Services
As a Direct Primary Care provider, we are able to focus all of our attention on patient health and spend less time "chasing paper." We firmly believe that the best primary care comes from being attentive, relaxed, personable, and accessible, and the DPC model allows us to do just that.

Our patients have full access to primary care, meaning easy scheduling, extended appointments, and personal communication via text message and email with your doctor.Your monthly membership covers general adult physicals, women's health care, pediatric care, wellness education, chronic disease management, minor procedures and coordination of care with specialists when needed.
Primary care medicine is the foundation of good health and wellness, and a close partnership with the individual who provides primary care improves patients' chances at wellness. Our goal is to keep you healthy by restoring the sanctity of the doctor-patient relationship.

We have the time necessary to get to know you, identify your health needs and develop individualized wellness plans and appropriate treatment options that are mutually agreeable. We look forward to getting to know you, and we are grateful that you would place your trust in us, to care for you and your family.
ALL members must enroll for Auto-Pay of invoices with a Credit or pin-less Debit Card. Due to our low staff and low overhead business model we cannot invoice or bill membership or other fees. Auto-pay date may be selected for any day of the month during set-up. Monthly memberships may be canceled, with a written 30 day notice.
At Direct Primary Care of West Michigan, we'll be happy to answer any questions you have about our practice or about the DPC model in general. However, there are a few questions that get asked a lot, so we've answered some of them below. Direct primary care (DPC) is something of a catch-all term used for various types of retainer-based primary heath care practices.
Want to know more about Direct Primary Care of West Michigan? Our friendly staff would be happy to set up a time for you to come in and see our office for yourself before making a decision. We'll take the time to explain how direct primary care works and make sure all of your questions are answered during your visit.

Dr Amat is more than a fantastic doctor—she’s like a healthcare Sherpa. She knows how to navigate the system and has the connections to get answers at a reasonable cost. You can tell the difference immediately between Dr Amat and doctors who are beholden to a large health system and/or insurance provider. I cannot recommend highly enough, and I hope we see more of the direct primary care model in the future, it works!

A shout out to my family’s amazing Physician, Dr. Belen Amat at Direct Primary Care of West Michigan for treating my daughter’s broken clavicle today. We called and were able to see her the same day. Following X-rays, Evangeline and I returned to the office to review the results. Dr Amat even answered off hours text messages with my additional questions. #canyourpcpdothat?

Dr. Amat is personable and truly interested in my health. Quick response to questions via text or email. I saved enough money on procedures and medications the first two months to cover the monthly membership cost for the year.

When you go to the doctor you expect to "maybe" see the physician for about 2 minutes. Not here. I took my daughter to her first visit with our new "Direct Primary Care" doctor. Dr. Amat met us at the door. We sat down and she talked to my daughter, examined her and found an ear infection. Dr. Amat was kind, truly listened - was in no rush. In all we spent about 15-20 minutes with the doctor - no nurses or assistants. She followed up with an email to me (again the doc. did). This is true health care. I encourage all to investigate and contact Dr. Amat.
