Winslow Park Animal Hospital opened its doors to the neighborhood with the 2013 New Year. The hospital was founded by local, experienced veterinarians and is a full service medical, surgical and dental facility. It is named after the open space and popular dog park next door, Winslow Park. We always strive to accommodate clients, heal their pets, and create a positive veterinary experience.

Services
A Westport native, Dr. David Santisi, has been practicing in the area for almost 20 years. In 1993 he began working at Strawberry Hill Animal Hospital in Norwalk after graduating with his veterinary degree from Cornell University. He is now a co-owner of Strawberry Hill and also co-founded A Cat's Place in 1997 and then Winslow Park Animal Hospital in 2013.
Winslow Park Animal Hospital recommends a yearly physical exam for all cats and dogs and more frequent visits as your pet ages. These thorough exams, combined with proper vaccinations, diagnostics, parasite analysis and microchipping help us keep your pets safe, happy and healthy. In order to treat any problems your pet may have, we must diagnose the issue first.

Moved to the area a few months ago with a 6 month old puppy and desperately needed to find a new vet. Tried so many places that weren't accepting new customers because of the pandemic, but Winslow Park was extremely accommodating and was able to accept us and schedule an appointment the same day. Every time we've needed to make an appointment they are always extremely accommodating and understanding and I can usually get in right away. The staff here is always so friendly and knowledgeable. They even helped our puppy find the right food to solve his stomach problems. I'm so grateful

We saw Dr. Shin and team for an emergency with our doodle dog Truly (she spit up blood). They agreed to see us right before closing even though they could've sent us to the 24-hour emergency vet. They are all very caring, empathetic and knowledgeable. A course of meds and new food has her back in shape. Highly recommend.

Winslow Park is the best. They saw my cat for an emergency appointment that day. I have seen Dr. Dave in the past and he is the best vet I've ever worked with. This time I saw Dr. Chin who was also great and helped me with my cat's eye infection. everything was done over the phone due to covid, but the staff was really professional, and everything went smoothly.

Oh My Gosh... I love my new Vet and all there amazing staff. I am so very great full for taking such wonderful care of my little guy. Extremely knowledgeable, got right to his problem, explained everything to me, so very caring. My boy is on his way back to good health again thanks to Winslow Park Animal Hospital. Dr Shin is treating my anxious poodle very thoughtfully and with great attention to detail! Highly recommend this animal hospital. Dr Shin walked me through what to expect with a new medicine we are trying for her. I also greatly appreciate their Covid policies, as well. It worked perfectly for their group to assess my dog in their facility while I waited in the car and spoke with Dr Shin by phone about my concerns.

I had just gotten my puppy and she came home with kennel cough. I called around a couple hospitals and Winslow Park Animal Hospital was able to schedule me in the morning I called. As a first time dog owner, I was so anxious and nervous but they made the process seem very smooth and calm. I'm so happy that I ended up taking my pup to this hospital first. I am eventually taking my dog to the city but wish I could continue to have Dr Shin see my pup.

What a compassionate, knowledgeable and friendly staff. We had a fantastic experience and are grateful they took such good care of our pup. It was a pleasure bringing our dog here and we will be going back. I especially appreciated the fact that they lifted my 100lb+ dog into my car without hesitation after his surgery.

Cannot praise and compliant the people who work at Winslow enough. The upbeat personality of Dan,Dave,Ashley,Amanda and Creagh always makes us smile. We have been through some very rough times with our dogs, but we know that they will have the answer to any question and if its a speciality type of proccedure they know the right people for you to go… see. There are a lot of shady Vets at large. Even if you like your vet or so-so with them I promise you that you'll never need to look again. I took our new puppy for his first visit to Winslow Park Animal Hospital yesterday. I've been to other animal hospitals in the area with our previous pets. I can say I've never met someone as caring, honest and thorough in an initial visit as Dr. Santisi. He had great recommendations and made my puppy (and me) feel at ease. I am so glad that someone recommended this office to me. It is clean, quiet, and the staff is great. Dr. Santisi is an amazing cat expert who made me feel so much more comfortable taking my cats to the vet.
(When they were younger, I had a number of negative experiences at Westport Animal Hospital, and a couple other awful vets in the area, and because of that I was hesitant to bring them to the vet for years.)

About two months ago I brought my older dog, Charlotte, in for an exam at the Winslow Park Animal Hospital. She ha d a tumor growing on her hind leg that almost doubled in size in a few short days.
Dr. Dan Whalen examined her and told me he needed to operate on her the next day.
Fast forward to today, December 18th, Charlotte is A-Okay and running around like a puppy thanks to Dr. Whalen an his staff of the Winslow Park Animal Hospital!
I highly recommend them to any animal owner. As a Westsport resident for over 40 years, WPAH is a VERY refreshing change of pace, affordable

My husband and I were very impressed with Dr. Whalen. We are new pet owners and we took our newly rescued puppy to see him. He spent so much time answering all our questions, never rushing us, and our first check up was provided at no charge since we adopted our dog! I'm very thankful we found this great vet in Westport!
