Shangwen and Mike Kennedy purchased the Inn at Moonlight Beach at the beginning of 2017 and embarked on an extensive renovation to modernize and recreate the Inn. They transformed the aging property into a state of art conscious destination that improves and transforms human health.

So relaxing and nourishing. It was an exquisite wellness break that uplifted my soul. Every detail of this place has been thought through, giving me a Zen-like experience. I loved the hot bath with fresh flowers and herbs, the food plates and baskets I ordered, and the quiet wood-panel room. My mind just relaxed. I used my two days there to write in my journal, read my spiritual book and meditate. Everything there supported my retreat. Wow!!!

A very special, unique space and we loved every thoughtful detail. The herb and vegetable gardens, many peaceful nooks to eat or relax in, delicious breakfast, their foot soak is a must.
We must have bought one of each from their homemade goods and market.

Staying at the Inn at Moonlight Beach feels like a long exhale. I need a solo retreat to get out of my head, tap into my creativity and recharge. I’m so grateful I met the visionary creator and she encouraged me to experience her remarkable creation.

Love this quaint, relaxing, holistic, gem of place ! From the minute we walked in the door we were greeted by Innkeeper Heather with hibiscus tea that is made on site, delicious! When we went to our spacious room there was a teapot with hot wellness tea waiting for us with a tray of sweet healthy delicacies, delicious! In the bathroom the tub had a bamboo tray with homemade teabags made on site with sea salt and handmade herbal soap, fresh flowers from the garden for a soak in the tub. A sweet message with written on the mirror celebrating our wedding anniversary. On top of that Heather checked

Incredible experience! The staff is extremely attentive and offers personalized service. The location is tremendous - easy walk to beaches and all of Encinitas. Our family loved the serene feel on the Inn. The beds and sheets - including for our kids on the pullout couches were phenomenal. Really high quality. The breakfast baskets were delicious. The kids loved to choose their breakfast. A really relaxing, lovely stay. We will absolutely be back and highly recommend it for anyone traveling to Encinitas area.

Outstanding! Inn at Moonlight Beach is such a blissful sanctuary with myriad thoughtful and kind special touches - chocolate mandalas!! Yes please. We were welcomed and felt connected with Nature from the very moment we arrived on property. The Innkeepers are delightful hostesses - caring for our every need. The massage service, herbal bath soaks and even a foot bath in the garden made it the perfect retreat! We will be back and plan to make a tradition.

What can I say except this was an amazing place to stay! We had our wedding in the San Diego area (we’re from Chicago) and had stumbled across this beautiful place. We chose to book it for our mini moon and are so glad we did. From the moment we arrived, the Inn at Moonlight Beach was so calming and relaxing. Which is exactly what we needed after planning our wedding for over 2 years because of covid! We were greeted with a yummy tray of treats and tea. The flower bath is heaven. This is a very special place. Everything here comes together to create a harmonious experience, from the decor, which is soothing & cool, to the plants which are plentiful and green, to the in-room tea which was warm & relaxing. The Inn is simply a great place to slow down.
The complimentary basket of healthy breakfast picks, like green juice and banana bread (and homemade jam & honey) certainly add to the charm. As well as the bottom floor garden units where we stayed (Mint Room) that allowed a cozy morning coffee break. There are tables outside as well where we played cards & had snacks.

The Inn at Moonlight Beach was a charming, relaxing and beautiful location for our long weekend. Our room was comfortable, clean, peaceful and was filled with special touches. The breakfast baskets each morning were delicious and we enjoyed them on the patio or lounging in the room- the food was healthy and delicious.
