Chris was very responsive to email and came out quickly to assess our condo in Rogers Park. He turned around a written quote within a couple days. The price was reasonable and the paint job was high quality meaning no sloppiness with paint drips here and there (the type of thing that usually drives me crazy after other paint jobs). Definitely recommend!

From start to finish the project of our basement remodel was done smoothly with Chris and his team. Within 4 days his team was able to redo the floors, stairs, ceiling replacement and removal of old items in the basement. They kept the work space very clean and adhered to all covid precautions with masks. The remodel reflects high quality work and communication was very easy.

We used CHJ painting and remodeling for re-painting a couple of rooms and a lot of touch up work including caulking and fixing where the drywall was damaged. They were very thorough doing each spot and even went to get matching paint when one of the colors ran out. They were also very neat and did the entire job in one day, and the project leader was careful to make sure we communicated well. The cost was reasonable. Highly recommended.

We were very happy with the work of CHJ Painting -- they worked as unobtrusively as possible, given they were painting our apartment, and when they were finished each day, they cleaned up completely despite having to return the next day. When the work was finished, we had a beautifully painted apartment with absolutely no residual mess at all. And, they were priced fairly as well!

We recently had our new condo completely repainted by CHJ Painting and Remodeling and are extremely happy with the results. There was also a lot of work that needed to be done repairing the walls. The building is about 100 years old, so the walls have been through a lot! There were several holes from different wiring projects (mounted tv, surround sound, internet connectivity, etc), not to mention cracks from time, and the wear and tear of how many previous owners!

Over the past 5-months we hired CHJ do two painting and remodeling projects. Because of their performance on the first project I didn't even consider going to anyone else for the second project. The first project was a small bathroom remodel which included new floor tile, regrouting of the tub/shower, installation of a new toilet and vanity and painting of the room. When the toilet was removed there was obvious leakage. Subflooring had to be removed and the toilet drain pipe replaced. Chris did a great job showing and explaining the problem and was able to get the job back on schedule

We used CHJ Painting a second time to paint our new condo. They did five rooms. They were as good if not better than the first time. One room they had to paint over orange walls three times to cover it. No extra charge for that. I recommended them to a friend who highly endorsed the quality of their work.
It was a very pleasant crew who gladly helped us with some non painting issues. Again no extra charge. They were spotless in their cleanup each night. I strongly recommend them.

I highly recommend Chris and his guys! From beginning to end, we were happy. We had hardwood floors put in and the work is amazing! he was so nice, the quality was excellent and he was very neat. We also had interior painting done. The painters did a great job- the lines were perfect and the paint looks awesome. They cleaned up after themselves every day and were so nice. Chris takes pride in his company and on making his clients happy and it shows.
