Actinic keratoses (AK) are tough-textured, dry, scaly patches on the skin that are caused by excessive exposure to ultraviolet light (UV) such as sunlight. Up to 58 million American have AKs. Aks develop as at the result of years of just doing simple tasks outside can ad up to a significant amount of sun exposure.
Acne is a skin condition which has plugged pores (blackheads and whiteheads), inflamed pimples, and deeper lumps (nodules) and occurs on the face, as well as the neck, chest, back, shoulders, and upper arms. While acne is most often associated with teenagers, adults can develop acne as well. Acne often clears up on its own without treatment.
Patch testing is a test procedure to diagnose allergic contact dermatitis, whereas the diagnosis of irritant contact dermatitis is based on exclusion of an allergic component. Patch test techniques for diagnosing ACD have been used for over 100 years and the present test methods are based on the established principle of using a testing material (chemical, food etc.) and a delivery device (chamber).
Skin Cancer is the most common type of cancer. However, if caught in its earliest stages, it's also completely curable. That's why the Dermatology Center of Shelby, in accordance with the American Cancer Society, recommends routine self skin examinations and skin cancer screenings with a dermatologist or a physician.

Unfortunately, this is one of the most unprofessional doctor's offices i have ever visited. During a scheduled visit to check a cyst, it was obvious that charts were not read and the doctor didn't even know what I was in for besides being a new patient. He tried to sign me up for Accutane when I didn't even ask for it nor was that the reason I came in and it made me very uncomfortable as he rushed through a very unclear description of what it was and why I needed it.

Additionally, the staff does NOT educate patients but instead they have the approach of rushing people in and out

Don't waste your time going to this group. Incompetent receptionist, had a wait time of 45 minutes to see a NP, was told that she was a PA under Dr. Urash, wasn't in the room five minutes, tops. Will not go back to this group of slackers.

Dr. Urash is hands-down the best dermatologist ever! His demeanor and bed-side manner is calm, positive, thorough, attentive, flexible, and personal. He and his nurses made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Dr. Urash even asked me questions about my recreational life (which no doctor has ever done before!). I find that doctors usually are distracted or rushed when visiting their patients, but not with Dr. Urash. I had the sense that this doctor REALLY cared about my whole being and not just the fact that I had a rash on my arm. FIVE STARS.... I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone

If you have to deal with this bunch of incompetent practitioners be prepared to experience the worst run around experience with the billing person. after 3 routine visits with no results went to a fourth, the person handling billing apparently change as we recieved a bill stating insurance denied claim. WE had to call bcbs to resolve the issue, was on a conference call with claim rep and billing office claim rep told her EXACTLY what to do, They resubmitted the same claim 2 more times then billed us with highlighted insuance reject. They never changed what they sent to bcbs even though they told
