L'Equipe is a European style business with a philosophy of passion and team spirit. In business 25 years, L'Equipe offers a full service menu for modern urban hair styling in a comfortable, accessible environment in the suburbs of Boston. Hailing from Messina, Italy, Stephen Cucinotta was trained in the European tradition of hairdressing and of business.
All the stylists at L'Equipe go through an extensive apprenticeship program after graduating Cosmetology School. Once they are tested on various skill certifications, they are able to perform services for our guests. I love this place. There's always such a relaxed atmosphere and the stylists and assistants are friendly and attentive.
My stylist (the owner Steve) can always give me the EXACT cut I want no matter how vague the description. I change my hair pretty much every time I go and he always gets it perfect.

Definitely the best hair salon in Franklin. They are very professional have accommodating hours and do excellent hair. I go to Paige and she took my hair from black to a light brown/blonde in a couple visits while maintaining the integrity of my hair. She is very pleasant and polite and does beautiful work. Highly recommend.

I'm not one to write 'reviews' but I must publicly share the tremendous experience I've had at L'Equipe Salon in Franklin ESPECIALLY in the COVID era! I've been a customer there for almost 20 years and have always received exceptional customer service: professional, welcoming and friendly and so very knowledgeable of their craft.

I have been going to L'Equipe for about two years now after an at home hair coloring tragedy! Steve took his time and corrected the mess and I came out looking great! I have very curly hair and Steve has cut my hair in such a way that I can wear it curly or blow it out. I have come to know most of the staff there and they are very friendly and courteous. The salon is exceptionally clean and sanitized and you feel very safe in this environment. I look forward to my appointments...it is a great salon where you can relax and be pampered and come out looking much better than when you went in!

Seth did a fantastic job on my hair!! He listened to what I wanted and even gave me thoughts on what he thought would be good so my hair stayed healthy and I've never been happier! The salon was also very clean and kept safe with social distancing in place, mask requirements, only being allowed in at the time of your appointment, and the cleaning once someone gets up from a chair! I would give more than 5 stars if possible :)

After having long hair all my life, I was 52, and needed something easy and quick. My husband had just gotten into a serious accident and was at the hospital, so I needed something to wash and go fast. I got matched up with Seth. I showed him a photo of a style I liked, and he got busy. I mean, really busy! They cleaned up around my chair 3 times! I had a lot of hair. Now? I feel liberated! I can't say enough about this salon. Really, it's as good as anything you'd find on Newbury St. in Boston.

TOM is the most AMAZING hairdresser. He is so sweet and so talented, you leave feeling more beautiful than ever! He has dealt with my crazy hair color adventures for years and never judges, just makes me look beautiful and sends me on my way! Not only is he non judgemental, super talented and sweet, he is also so easy to talk too and makes the process fly by. If you want to look like a movie star, TOM is the guy to go too!!!! Seriously this guy has done my hair since I was in high school and I can't say enough nice things about him. He's just that fantastic.

After dabbling in a few other salons in the Franklin area, I've finally found one that I can relay on. Having not much idea what should be get done, I presented case of my damaged hair ro Maggie. Who gave honest and helpful suggestions and took great care of my hair. She is very precise and attentive to her work.

I just had my first cut with Maggie last night. She cuts my friend's hair and it looked so amazing that I had to go myself. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I am so happy with my cut. Maggie was so precise and you could really tell she takes pride in her work. I will definitely be back!

I am truly in love with this salon. Each stylist has their own style and they are truly talented. They listen to you and understand what you like. I don't know why anyone would go any where else. I've been going to L'equipe since 2012 when I moved back to the Boston area after being away for many years. I've moved a lot and the hardest thing about being in a new place is finding new doctors, dentists and of course, hair salons that you like and trust. I happened to see a woman in the parking lot of a Target in Milford and she had a really great short cut. In the store later I literally bumped right into her (not on purpose!) and I asked her where she went and she told me "L'Equipe Salon in Franklin, and I get my hair cut by Steve, the owner". She said

I went in looking, how shall I say it, haggard. This was my first visit and will not be my last.
Steve took time understanding my hair, the thickness, the cowlicks, and all the bends. I can completely say that I am extremely happy with my cut. When I left, I no longer felt haggard, in fact, I felt pretty damn good!
Friendly staff, no wait, great shampoo, a lovely way to spend an hour.

I am relatively new to the Franklin area and had a terrible experience at another local salon. I finally bit the bullet and decided to give L'Equipe a try instead of driving into Boston. I am so very glad I gave the salon a chance. Stephen, the owner, is amazing. I noticed the other stylists working on their clients and they were just as great! I will definitely be going back to Stephen!! From his assistant to the lovely woman at the reception desk---everyone was great.
I love my hair now and couldn't be happier with the result.

She always manages to take a request and make it happen, rather than re-imagining or forcing a style on me. She is also honest about what would work with our hair, helping us get the best cut.

I love everything about this place. walking in the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful when chitchatting about types of coloring.
i had a short wait for my appointment with debbie, a senior stylist. after meeting her she shampooed me and asked if i wanted anything and they had some serious beverage options. i had a terrible haircut that i wanted to get fixed, she was very knowledeable about styles and cuts and fixed my layers without taking more length off. i have a sensitive crown on my head and not once did she hurt me after i told her (usually stylists are yanking on my hair or digging
