I was a long-term customer of this company. They were always paid well even though they charged more than they should. On a Saturday my garage door wouldn't open and couldn't be opened manually. They said no one could come over today. Yet they advertise 24 hour emergency service. The person answering the phone was dismissive and arrogant. I won't use them again and you shouldn't either

I had an excellent experience with Door Boy and in dealing directly with Mark McManus for my order. My house was near completion and we expanded a single garage door to a double. I had contacted a few other garage door vendors, and either they were dealing with extremely long lead times (4-6 weeks) or they didn’t seem eager to do business. I was away in another state during the renovation, so Mark personally went to my home with every sample I was considering and sent pictures with each sample against the home to help me make the best selection. One of the samples was outside of my budget, however

I had a problem with my door. Called first thing Monday morning - holiday week. They were able to come same day! In just a few hours time. Dave came, explained the problem, fixed it promptly. Serviced the doors while he was here. 30 or 40 minutes later - all done! Not the cheapest, but for the great service - well worth it! Thanks for great work and great service. Happy New Year!

Big shout out to Dave who came today within literally minutes of my phone call and completely fixed my issue. He was helpful, informative, & showed me how the system worked. He even fixed a small issue I had been struggling with that another garage door company didn't want to take care of. Great customer service. THANKS DAVE!!

Firstly, I had to wait 24 hours to calm down before writing this review.
Secondly, the Technician was polite and clearly explained the door issue after he corrected it. Torsion spring needed adjustment, since the door was falling down when opened. However, the $170 service fee that I was charged is ABSURD! Especially when the original installation by Door Boy was in May of 2017. When speaking with Roger at Door Boy to request service because my door will not stay up, I was not informed of the dollar amount of the service call. He and I clearly spoke of my manual lift door installation and its very

Giving one star because "no stars" is not an option. Terrible service. Called for emergency service to repair door that would not open. Technician was polite but needed to order parts that he guessed would be about a week to arrive. The three weeks later, no one ever followed up as they said they would. We had to generate all follow-ups and were given incorrect information. Ultimately we were given two separate dates with windows of time to be available. I called to confirm each ahead of time and both times not only did no one show up, but when I called I was told the parts were not

After calling 4 garage door repair companies only one answered and gave me a great rate Door Boy in Berkeley Heights.
I spoke with Roger, he was friendly, answered all my questions and they came out the same day. After the job was complete
I needed them to come out to do one addition thing and they did, their service is excellent!
On a side note, I started to receive calls from the other garage door repair companies a day or two later all of them were between 100 to 200 dollars more for the same repair.
I am very satisfied with Door Boy in Berkeley Heights and would recommend them them.
Thank you

I have always called Door Boy to service my garage door. David the technician is terrific - hard working and a straight shooter - tells me exactly what's needed and what's not needed. Really appreciate him. So when my old wooden garage door's bottom section broke off, I called Door Boy to come take a look. David suggested that it might make better sense to replace the door with a new one instead of trying to fix it since the other components of the garage door are also looking a bit dated. He provided me with two quotes, one to repair the door, and one to replace it. We did

Be warned that they charge an 85 dollar fee to show up and then another fee for parts and labor. When questioned about this practice the owner claimed that I was told when the appointment was made. Incorrect. The tech did a good job but I would not use this company again not just because of the 85 dollar fee regardless of whether they do the work or not, but because of the short sighted and poor attitude of management. There are better companies out there. Shop around !
