Commonwealth Medical Center was established by Haroon Rashid and Carole Rashid in 2011. It is locally owned business. We pride in being an independent small practice but provide all the services or even more what you will get at a hospital owned clinic or urgent care or a chain urgent care. We believe in utilizing modern technology to enhance your care but at the same time we would like to treat you as a person and friend rather than a number.
Carole and Haroon live in Arlington with their four children. Commonwealth Medical Center, located in Arlington, Virginia, is a patient-centered primary and urgent care clinic. Headed by Haroon Rashid, MD, the goal of Commonwealth Medical Center's team is to combine traditional medicine with emerging wellness practices to help you become your most happy and healthy.

The experience was good………. The receptionist was very professional, friendly as well as informative. The nurse was even greater taking her time with me as well as others. The nurse was super friendly, and attentive to my needs as the patient. The doctor is a force….. Strong presence, available, and professional while making the patients needs a priority. He also listened to my concerns, and addressed each one of my needs with urgency. THANK YOU TO THIS OFFICE, I SHALL RETURN SOON……………..❤️❤️❤️

Terrible experience for travel. Had an appointment for a test on a specific day due to travel. There was no way to confirm which test I'd booked. Took three days of calling to get a human. She said they had both, let them know when I arrived which test was required. I arrived and they were out of PCR. Had an appointment three days later for a rapid (another option for my travel). Booked online. Got a message the day before informing me they weren't open that late, they would need to reschedule. The day of the appointment I kept receiving texts confirming this appointment.

Went in for covid test. They tested me—made me bleed profuely—then they said insurance covered it. The office then billed bcbs 800 dollars and me 270. I called with bcbs, they afmitted a coding error and said they would to send the bill. Instead they sent me to a collection agency. Will follow up with BCBS and Virginia medical fraud department if not resolved.

The medical visit was fine and I gave blood for analysis. We talked about Cologard and Dr Rashid send he will have a test kit sent to my house. The Cologard people have already contacted me this morning.
We also talked about the different kinds of pneumonia shots that can be given, the one dose Prevnar is for younger people and there is a two dose shot for older people.
However, I did not receive the first shot, it seems we forgot about it.
I did give a blood sample for analysis but did not give a urine sample. It seems we forgot that too.

Dr. Rashid answered several text messages and a call during my exam on his cell phone. He was disengaged and appeared to be inconvenienced by my presence, never making eye contact and typing on his laptop the whole time, aside from answering his personal phone. He made a recommendation for pharmaceutical intervention for an illness I do not have, and could not explain why I needed it or how the drug worked. He was uninterested in and disregarded my medical history. He was inarticulate and could not communicate clearly. The staff was friendly, but nobody called me to let me know the results of my

I have been trying to get in contact for weeks now. I went there with a workers comp injury. Cannot get a response from the billing department after 30+ phone attempts. When you call the number on the bill you get a full voicemail that doesn’t allow you to leave any messages. When you call the number on Commonwealths website you get a machine that answers and hangs up on you when you click for billing. When you click new patient to attempt to talk to someone they give you the run around and say they can’t help. When I emailed the email provided on the website, no response.

I was pleased that I was able to get my flu shot at a good time. But I don't understand, what was the purpose of the Dr. Coming into the room, to sit their and tap on his laptop. Ask me (2)questions and then dismissed himself.🤷♀️
Overall the clinician was doing front desk and
giving flu shots.
Not sure what's going on with this practice. 🤔

This was my second visit to the practice. Despite being a returning patient, whoever I saw was adamant that I did not have any medical record to access. Feeling uncomfortable, I left and called back later to complain. I was told my record had somehow been duplicated, and further told I was seen by the doctor. I have never met the doctor at this practice, so I am unsure how that could have been the case.
Go elsewhere.

I’m sorry but Dr Rashid’s practice just takes too long and has low professional standards. I’ve been seeing him regularly for the past couple of years only because he’s close. My appointment today prompted me to write this review; I walked into his practice and checked in, waited fifteen minutes and was told there were an additional 3 patients ahead of me and that I’d likely be waiting much longer - I simply left, past experience has shown that if I had waited for Dr Rashid I’d start my appointment half an hour after it was supposed to end.
Today’s appointment brought back some ‘nostalgia’
