at 8:05AM today, may 25, 2020, this morning Mercedes C arrived at my incorrect entrance for my home care shift.
she arrived without medical scrubs, without a name badge, without a mask, without gloves, without even knowing what proper PPE was...
hence, I sent her packing.
PS: my apologies, my apartment must have been a little chilly!
why is a staff member sent out like this? especially during this COVID-19 precautionary times we're in?

The first aide they sent out stole from my disabled daughter. The second one I met was an 18 year old and this was her first job...ever. She failed to show up for scheduling. So, after more than a month of waiting for help, they kept stringing me along until I withdrew from the company. Wow. Unprofessional, to say the least.

My father, a Vet, received unsurpassed care from HCA for a year. His caregiver, Brandy has become "family". She provided what ever help he needed and did so with such a loving hand. Additionally-- she was 100% reliable (didn't miss a single day in over a year--always on time). Danielle, Jennifer, and Kurt in the office responded immediately to whatever question(s) I had. My family had a terrible experience with HCA. The agency hires unprofessional people who “claim” to be experienced Caregivers. A certain Caregiver claimed to be a responsible, experienced person who has cared for people for well over 10 years. When she first showed up, she had my husband’s last name incorrect & said she had no idea he had Dementia. Apparently, the agency never matched the right Caretaker with my disabled husband who has served his country! This Caretaker only came out twice a week & lasted for only 2 weeks. This is the worst experience I have had.The workers are untrained,late,and leave task incomplete.Today I get home after working a nine hour day and find my bath tub filled with water,the ground beef I planned on cooking for dinner cooked by the aide,a rinse basin left on the floor,and laundry unfinished in the basement.All I ask is to keep my mom and her room clean,make sure she gets her noon medication,wash the breakfast and lunch dishes before they go and take out the trash.I come home to finish the work they are being paid to doThis place should be shut down.Please do not choose this agency

Absolutely themost unprofessional company I have dealt with. The people they hire are anyone literally off the street. A week ago my mother in law was cussed at by a worker and threatened. The girl didn't know I was at the door listening. When she was told to leave she flipped us off. Called the company only for them to laugh literally at my elderly mother in law like she was a joke. Horrible horrible people. Elderly and disabled mental abuse is not funny.
