We come to highlands often. This was our 1st time using Highlands Vacation Rentals, and we are sold! Our rental on Mt. Lori was well appointed and comfortable. When we realized that the gas grill was unusable, we called management and they had a brand new high end grill delivered and installed the next day. That would not happen with VRBO! We will be using them again on our next visit.

40th Birthday vacation ruined! Horrible experience with renting from Highlands Vacation Rentals. I booked direct with this company, paid and signed their contract only to be called a week later to tell me that they double booked my house and that I would have to move. The rep who called me was unapologetic and even rude. The manager, Lori (who I asked to speak with) was extremely uncaring about the matter offering no solutions other then to move into a smaller (less bedrooms), less attractive house. I understand that mistakes happen, but I would expect to be moved into a nicer home since this was

Highlands,NC is a great place to visit and HIGHLANDS VACATION RENTALS has been a wonderful to place to find the perfect rental property.
This will be our third year to do business with Lori and David. This year we are staying 2 weeks in the summer and back for 3 weeks in the fall. Highly recommended!

Just before Christmas, we rented "Camp Carlee" so we could experience some snow. And we got our wish! The day before our arrival the area received a ton of snow, complicating travel to the mountains. David Bee was so gracious to contact us to update us about road conditions and to let us know that the road to our rental would be freshly plowed for our arrival. The cabin and our stay were perfect! We would definitely rent this cozy cabin again. Thank you for a lovely stay and your attention to detail and our needs.

Inside and out the owner's have made Camp Carlee the PERFECT Highlands getaway cabin! It's nestled in a lovely location that's just a short drive into town. And being pet friendly is the cherry on top. I love staying here.
The manager, Lori Bee, is the best. She is warm and friendly, and if a problem should arise it is promptly taken care of. I know I'm in good hands when staying at CC.

Highlands Vacation Rentals is the only place to rent from in the Highlands. Lori goes beyond her responsibilities to make sure everything is right at your finger tips. The home we rented was exactly how she advertised it to be. She answered all my question, never minded the many calls I made since we had never visited the Highlands. She was there to welcome us into the home, explained anything we needed to know and left. But she gave us her number just in case we needed anything. I have told all my friends about our experience and one has already booked for this summer. Give them a try—-you will
