Just totally bizarre place. Mr. Montgomery gave a great review but little does he know the owner (little warden man) trashed Mr. Montgomery every chance he had. Do not work there unless you like a prison like atmosphere. Unrealistic expectations is how they run. So do yourself a favor and run as far away from this prison as far and fast as you can. Have a great day!

I have worked for Northern Gear for almost a year now and I am definitely happy with my choice to work here. Everyone is friendly and is willing to help when asked. I was hired to be a cnc setup guy, but I was quickly promoted to engineering where my main function is programming the lathe, mill and swiss machines. With Northern Gear being fast paced no 2 days are the same. I have done many different roles here outside of programming from setting up lathes or mills, trouble shooting issues, tool ordering, training, and quality. This being said, you could do something that you weren't hired to do

When you get hired, you do not do the job they state that you are to do in the interview. Nor do they properly train you.Namely, assembly is cleaning, deburring, and inspecting parts and not assembling anything. They will not let you off work excused when it comes to medical and legal appointments. (This includes a subpoena). Does not matter if you are excused by a doctor. This place has no empathy. They do not care about their employee or their families. All they care about is how much money they can make. Don't ever count on a peaceful day either because they will ride you within your first few
