Services
Mercy High School is an independent Catholic college preparatory school, grades 9 through 12, sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy. The school was founded in 1960 with a mission to provide a superior education to young women of diverse backgrounds. A Mercy education is distinguished by rigorous academics, enabling students to form habits of lifelong inquiry, critical thinking and courageous action in a global society.
We, the community of Mercy High School Baltimore, are a private Catholic, college preparatory school for young women of diverse backgrounds from across central Maryland. Sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy, we provide a rigorous education marked by academic excellence and personal attention. Here, students learn to communicate ideas and express themselves confidently, both individually and in collaboration with others.
The library provides a collection of print and non-print resources to meet the educational needs of faculty and students. The College Counseling program, under the supervision of Guidance and Student Services, assists students in exploring career options and facilitates their understanding and handling of the college application process.
It is the time of year for returning students to complete their financial aid applications for the 2020-2021 school year. Please remember that all families who receive need-based aid are required to fill out a financial aid application via FACTS Grant and Aid on an annual basis. If you only receive merit-based aid, a FACTS Grant and Aid application is not required.
It is with great pride and excitement that I continue my Mercy experience as the newest director of alumnae engagement. I have enjoyed working with and learning from Sister Mary Anne Smith as we prepared for this transition and I am honored to continue the work that Sister Joannes Clifford, Mercy's first alumnae director, and Sister Mary Anne began in the Alumnae Office.
