Napa or Sonoma Valley-it's not. But I did enjoy our wine sampling experience here, Minnesota-style. We had a Groupon and invited our friends to come with us. After following the gps directions to the vineyard, we hiked up the "Let the Adventures Begin" trail from the parking lot to the wine tasting room. The staff at the WMW were wonderful: NOT haughty like Napa Valley wine snob staff. We sampled a lot of local wines and had cheese & crackers and a kiss of dark chocolate with our glasses of wine out in the patio area. We picked out a nice bottle of their rose wine to take

This is a favorite winery's. I love that we can still out side under the trees and see the vineyard. Today we got to taste the grapes. It was wonderful!!!!

They are fabulous! We went to Wild River State Park and stumbled into this treasure! Because we came at the end and rain scared away the visitors, we had the most exquisite experience. Thank you for the veggie pizza ;)

I’ve used groupons twice here - 2 glasses wine, bottle of wine & cheese plate for around $20. Very charming, cozy atmosphere - fill of aesthetic

Beautiful place. Just enough charm and whimsy. I was here last year before Covid-19. I enjoyed my visit with a friend and the owner was a friendly gentleman. My friend and I struck up a conversation with him and that made our afternoon visit even more enjoyable. Now we returned yesterday...it's a beautiful day wines are on point. However, the young man pouring wine behind the cash register gave us very generous pours of the wines we liked. He we felt didn't want to be there and it showed. He was for no better word(s) crabby. For a young man he was simply a grouch. We will be

Beautiful small location, got some great photos and had a glass of wine that was good. Disappointed in the friendliness of staff and welcoming though. Felt very rushed and not one word to describe on the hosts part. Going to a winery I always enjoy hearing about their process to create the wine we drink!

Nice winery with some great old vines. The winery is right next to their home and I really enjoyed their sweet white Lacrescent wines despite being a red wine fan. Would be nicer in the spring/summer with the doors open and pizza oven going. Decent value at $8 for 6, 1 ounce samples. Friendly staff.

Three of us stopped in here during our Ladies Weekend after snowboarding (ie flailing down the bunny hill) at Wild Mountain. Although we came here in the winter when everything was dead and cold, we still had a lovely evening at Wild Mountain Winery. The snow-covered grounds and cozy tasting room were still a treat. The quaint tasting room and wine samples really warmed us up.

And the value was great! We shared 16 wine tastings for just $15 total! There's free popcorn, dark chocolate is provided for the last red wine, and you can also purchase a meat and cheese board. They give you a laminated

My friend and I found this winery through Groupon. Upon arriving, we found the place quite charming in a good location not far from the twin cities. Apart from the wine itself, the best part of our experience was a staff member named Jane. She was incredibly helpful, provided good conversation, and overall was a key part of our great experience. If you're considering giving this place a try, I fully recommend it!

Best part of our winery tour!!! Jane is amazing! Had some amazing bourbon cider with some apple pie moonshine made by a winery friend. So amazing. Listed to music, made new friends. Jane stayed open late for us and even let us tour the gift shop and purchase hours after close (so many neat items to buy and some made by local artisans). Had the very best time!!!

Nice setting had a talented father/daughter duo on guitar and singing. Very laid back with super friendly staff. Decided to have one of their brick fired pizzas and it was super. The choices of wine in their tasting are diverse and tended to sweeter varieties. Was a very enjoyable afternoon.

My husband and I stopped in on a beautiful Sunday afternoon this summer. The staff were nice and helpful. We enjoyed wandering through the vineyard sipping on our wine. We bought a Groupon and it included some wine and cheese pairing. We highly recommend taking home a few of your favorite wines for later. We brought home a really nice ice wine perfect for after dinner sipping.

Love, love, love this place! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, inviting and comfortable setting. My husband and I used a Groupon, which is a huge cost savings! The wine selection is great- 16 to choose from, including ciders. We also ordered a brick oven fired pizza, but they were out of the ingredients for the toppings we chose. One of the owners insisted on buying us an additional glass of wine when our tasting was finished! If you're looking for a place to enjoy a couple hours on a beautiful summer day-this is it! And the drive here is spectacular, no matter the season!

So I really want to have a good wine tasting experience in Minnesota having moved here from Northern California but I really don't think its in the cards.

We stopped by this place based on the yelp reviews on our way back from WI. Winery was cute, wines were decent but the wine tasting experience not so much. They have a few different options on tastings- couples tasing where you can taste all the wines and an individual one. The problem wasn't the tasting options, it was the process. I didn't like the fact that they just pour me some wine, don't tell me anything about the

Tucked away deep in Chisago County is this small winery. There are a few buildings and an outdoor area for parties. The tasting is one building and bottles and gift shop in another. The road leading in is difficult to spot unless you see the sign. It is a simple two rutted dirt and grass road leading to an unpaved parking lot. I like the feeling this rural area provides.
There is a nice selection of mostly fruity wines made from local ingredients and the staff is very nice. You get to sample six wines in a tasting. There is a menu of sorts explaining the wines which you'll have to

My first review..
This was a very nice place to visit, the wines were wonderful, the meat and cheese platter was great, and the staff was very nice.. except... and here is why they get a 3 not a 5... there was one staff member clearly intoxicated. She was stumbling around, slurring her words, and when we asked if we could get a photo in front of the grape vines, we received a 10 minute incoherent story involving grapes, her personal political views, North Korea's missile launches, and no salvageable photos. I'm not really a fan of hearing drunken tirades or watching staff members struggle

We attended the wine class through groupon and learned a ton! It was very fun and informative and didn't make me feel "dumb" We tried about 10 different wines during the class (make sure you eat before you come!) I will say the staff in the bottle store was not as welcoming as the rest of the staff. She seemed a little put out when she had to go to the basement to get another bottle. Could have easily been a miscommunication as the rest of the staff was so helpful.

Be sure to try the ice wine. SO GOOD!

We will definitely be back!

A very beautiful and small winery near Taylor Falls, MN. I did a wine tasting with my wife and we were surprised with the quality of the wines produced here. Even their driest of red wines was still wet and tasty to our palates. They had some of the best local white wine I have ever had in Minnesota. Very good price for all of their selections too.

Don't be fooled by the size of the establishment, they take great care and pride in their wines.

I took my parents to wild mountain for a day trip. It was a nice outing, the staff was very helpful and the wine was as one would expect for the difficult climate in Minnesota. We had gone to the landscape arboretum the day before, so seeing the grape varieties that were created at the UMN landscape arboretum grow and tasting the wine made the experience more interesting. Overall, we enjoyed the daytrip and would recommend it to friends.

Did a tasting here as part of a bachelorette party wine tour. Megan, who led our tasting, was wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable. The space wasn't fancy at all, but the laid back and unpretentious vibe felt appropriate for this family-run establishment. The wines were the best we had all day and very affordable.

We really enjoyed this family run winery. We did the couples tasting and thought it was a great deal. We also were as to sample two delicious hard ciders. The smoked cheese they served with crackers during the tasting was wonderful. They were helpful, answered all of our questions and the young man hosting our tasting was very friendly. We visited in the winter, but would like to return when it is warmer so we can explore vineyards.

We bought a sweet white, hard cider and some cheese to take to our stay at a local bed and breakfast and all were great.
