Cindy Harter Photography prefers to do a newborn session in the first ten days after birth. After the first two weeks of their life they become a lot more alert and active. Preemie babies have a longer window of time to be photographed and still be able to achieve the newborn look and feel of a session.

Working with Cindy has been a dream come true! I worked with her years ago when she did my senior pictures and I knew whenever I got married I wanted her to be my photographer. I reached out when I got engaged and was surprised at how quickly she responded. As for the wedding, I do not think we could have planned it any better. I just moved to the area from Nashville, TN. We had some amazing photographers there, and I was nervous I wouldn’t find somebody as good here. I was so wrong! Cindy is the best photographer! I got my daughters newborn session done recently. Cindy made my baby feel so warm and welcome. My baby didn’t cry one time. Any time she even started to get remotely fussy Cindy scooped her up and rocked her and soothed her back to her happy self. My baby didn’t even know we were out of the house. Cindy drove up to NC car loaded with props for our son’s newborn session. To say she is quite literally the baby whisperer is an understatement! Leif let her pose and photograph him for almost four hours and was a sleepy and happy little guy the whole time, if only I could convince her to live with us the next six months! We are so in love with all of our images and I’ve already ordered his baby album, prints and announcements. If you’re looking for the best newborn photographer look no further than Cindy!!

Cindy is a wonderful photographer. She’s extremely professional, a wonderful person, and puts so much effort into her sessions. When we arrived in studio we were thrilled and very impressed with the work she had put into the sets for the session with our twin boys. It was extremely thoughtful and individualized for us. PERFECT!! She has a reputation for being the best and Cindy Harter Sims is exactly what I wanted in a photographer. She was so personable and compassionate about her work.
