The Fitzpatrick Hotel
The Fitzpatrick Hotel is a fully restored, historic hotel located in lovely, downtown Washington, Georgia, between Athens and Augusta. The hotel is also conveniently located near historic Madison, and Greensboro, home of Reynolds Plantation. The Fitzpatrick Hotel, which is located on the Courthouse Square, was originally constructed in 1898 and served the thriving county seat of Wilkes County until 1952, at which time the hotel and dining room were closed. After 50 years of neglect, the hotel was purchased by the Fitzpatrick LLC in 2002.
Services
Patrick Fitzpatrick, a Catholic from Armagh, Ireland, moved from New York City to Lexington, GA, in 1840. John H. Fitzpatrick was born in Lexington in 1843. In 1844, the family moved to Washington where Thomas M. Fitzpatrick was born in 1856. As a result of the fire, the buildings occupying the land where the Fitzpatrick Hotel is located were destroyed.
With a dozen short words, Michael Todd summarized progress on rebuilding and renovation of the historic Fitzpatrick Hotel in downtown Washington. First, for historical and architectural integrity, we want to retain as much as possible of the original structure. Second, we don't want to spend money rebuilding areas which are already structurally sound.
The Fitzpatrick Hotel is one of the most historic buildings in Washington, Georgia. The classic architecture and accommodating rooms make it an ideal place to stay when you're visiting family, in town for an event, or simply stopping through town. My wife and I stayed for one night a couple of weeks ago.We live about an hour away from the hotel. It was one of the best experiences I have had in a very long time. This place is amazing, we are going back next week for a few days. We were in room 205.

Stay there a few years ago just saw your hotel name on Fright Club and brought back memories. Love the rooms and was amazing to have a few haunting in and outside our room. My girlfriend and I was amazed. Wasn't expecting it but it was great experience. Need to come back soon.

Cannot fault Brittany, she will do everything in her power to help make your stay awesome. The hotel needs work though, the shower in the room I stayed at was broken and the bathroom door had holes in it you could see all the way through. Decent food and drinks readily available.

Cute and charming. Remember it's an old place. Water pressure is low. Other than that, pretty nice.

I was in Washington GA on business for a couple of days and stayed at The Fitzpatrick. It was great. The building along with the entire area is largely from a different time. It provides a comfortable warm feeling throughout your stay and the hotel is a nice balance of history, modern amenities and necessary conveniences. It has great WiFi, Direct TV, and comfortable rooms to relax in. The rooms are comfortable and provide a feeling of what it might have been like many years ago. Maddy's pub is connected to the hotel and that is a nice environment to socialize and eat. We enjoyed their game of

A wonderful historic hotel on the city square. Stepping inside takes you back a hundred years. The rooms are filled with antiques as well. Beautiful woodwork all over. Room and common areas were immaculately clean. A/c was nice and quiet, hates a noisy a/c.
