Decision makers at this Credit Union tend to be reactionary rather than proactive. Credit Unions are member owned, they are not a "for profit" business. They need to stay up with the times.
Look at your loan rates and offerings such as length of loans, your dividend rates such as the 08 accounts (I can't believe that $50000.00 only earns $0.47 a period). Also, look at money market rates and be better than banks who have to pay a ROI to stockholders.
Don't let overheads get or stay out of control (I don't care what other financial institutions pay their employees nationwide, you should only compare
