My role as a family Physician is to help my patients get well and to stay well. I feel that providing prevention-related examinations and information is as important as treating your immediate health care needs. I believe that encouraging individuals to pursue a healthy lifestyle will result in better health for the entire family.
I enjoy time with my family and am eager to get to know yours. Practicing Family Medicine and delivering babies for the past 14 years gave me the chance to watch children grow and develop, along with their parents and grandparents. What a privilege to be the doctor for an entire family! Knowing the context of an individual's life helps me anticipate problems and create personal, practical solutions for my patients.
I chose to enter the medical field because I enjoy serving and connecting with others. The opportunity to build warm, trusting relationships with patients and their families is the joy of family medicine. As a PA, I provide current, quality care driven by empathy, compassion, and honesty. It is important for me to treat the whole individual: physical, emotional, and spiritual health.
My family has many generations of physicians. When it came time to choose my career path, it seemed natural to go into the field of medicine. Family Practice especially stood out to me because it would allow me to use every aspect of my broad education and experience. I enjoy the challenge of seeing patients of all ages and variety that Family Practice offers.

I saw the first doctor available for a UTI. Three days into the prescription, I got a call telling me it was the wrong medicine, and I needed to stop taking it and go pick up a new one. Two weeks later, symptoms were back. This is a miserable condition, I called on a Wednesday to see if the doctor could simply prescribe another round of meds. I received no response whatsoever, and was so miserable ended up having to go into urgent care over the weekend. To add insult to injury, received a call Monday morning from an employee less than eager to help, who told me that a random doctor, whom I didn’t

I have been a patient here for years now, and absolutely love the staff and my PA, and other PA's and doctors I've seen. I moved to the Cities eleven years ago, and had some sad experiences from doctors when trying to find a Primary Care Provider. Because I am older, female, and asthmatic, I was rushed through appointments, and had few questions answered and the ones I was allowed to ask were quickly dismissed. My providers at FAFP listen to me and are responsive to the whole me--not just health issues but social/emotional problems as well. It's important to be able to trust providers, and I feel

Shady billing practices. I received $250 bill for just a visit to get my blood pressure prescription refill! Just to compare it with my colleague with exactly same insurance went to Mayo clinic to see a specialist and got $250 bill. How can a GP with just BP refill prescription charge as much as a Mayo clinic specialist with full check up!
They don't even spare patients during annual check ups that are completely covered by insurance provider. They charged me $100 for it making excuse that since I have high blood pressure it will cost extra!

Went here for 6-7 years. My PA Suzy Runkell was wonderful and always gave me the support and care I needed. She was both pragmatic and empathetic with my care. Had some odd experiences with a Dr. Berge and Dr. Ledder. Saw Dr. Berge once and he stated I may have acanthosis nigricans, a pre-diabetic condition, when my BP and A1C came back normal. Dr. Ledder refused to see me because I was a “young and female” patient. Avoid the male practitioners if you are a POC lmao.

Doctors are really good Specially Dr. Berge and Dr. Johnson. (Would have given 5 stars for doctors) but service is pathetic.specially if you need to get tested or have some urgency.
Test results take long to come, no follow up from clinic, even prescription refills are not sent on time. For a covid test you need to have a virtual visit (Pay $200) and then doctor reassures the test result will come in an hour. Then get tested on a Friday( with a commitment of callback with result within hour or two) and keep on waiting for 3 days (for a rapid test) just because they are worthless and they are not

My first visit as a new patient was actually really good, Stephanie at the front desk was really nice and helpful. My doctor Lindsay was exceptional in my opinion. From asking questions, making recommendation, and even respecting my views on certain things. Then Susan in the lad was a sweet darling, made my time and process comfortable. Overall, it was a good experience and looking forward to going back. Only thing, other staff could be more personal such as giving a simple greeting, hello or good morning, that would be nice. But I understand that their job is very hectic at times.

I've been going to France Avenue for over four years now and I haven't had a single issue or any hiccups getting great Health Care. Every staff member has been courteous, professional and patient with me. I found this place because they had high ratings and positive reviews online. It's no coincidence I finally found a primary care physician that works with me and actually remembers details in my chart. Dr. Johnson is great at her job as a provider, but most importantly she's a doctor I can truly trust. If my previous comments weren't already saying it, I would highly recommend this place to you
