Even though we weren't able to stay there due to power outage we were able to enjoy the snow & they allowed us to put our deposit onto another time which we really appreciated. We've enjoyed every stay here & plan on there being more. Thanx everybody! 😉

It's a beautiful setting, very clean and well maintained. It reminds me of 1950's lots of kid friendly amenities putt putt golf, playground, outdoor theater etc. Some things are seasonal. Sutter Creek, Jackson, Rancheria Casino, West Point are all great places to visit and nearby.

Just got done with our stay ,we check out in about an hour . The campground is beautiful and the staff is friendly.
Only problem we had was the wifi . 1st of all if you have tmobile you won't have cell service. All our devices connected no problem with good speeds except my Samsung galaxy phone. Still had problems connecting after I called tech support .
Other than that the stay was great, nice and quiet. Even saw some deer right outside our camper .

We stayed at the Gold Country Campground Resort from 9/20/2021 to 9/26/2021. The Grounds are very nice and the place has the infrastructure to be a great resort. However, most of the staff who work at the place are the problem as they are not friendly or helpful at all. They all seem to have a piss-poor attitude and when you asked any questions of them it was as if you were bothering them. The long term resident section looked run down and one of them ran a generator 24 hours.

I think that the owners of this resort could make this place a gem if they only replaced most of the current staff and

While trying to check in. I realized I made a mistake with dates when I made a reservation at Jackson Rancheria. Sadly they were booked for the whole weekend, but Thornton behind the counter suggested we give Gold Country a call to see if they could accommodate.
I called and thankfully they had 1 spot left that would accommodate our 38ft fifth wheel. Jen was amazingly helpful and kind which I greatly appreciate.
We got to the park and while it's not perfect it is still pretty cool.
Yes there's dirt and our site wasn't flat and level but we made it work and the park is very pretty

We stayed at Gold Country Campground on Labor Day weekend 09/03/21 - 09/06/21 in our 28 foot Travel Trailer. We reserved and stayed in Deluxe site #33, which was a FHU site.

Site 33 was okay. It definitely was not "Deluxe". It was a gravel site, somewhat level, that hadn't been cleaned or had any upkeep in some time. A lot of beer bottle caps and debris was in the site. It was a gravel pad with dirt. It was surprisingly, a pull through site, which was not advertised on their website. The electric hook up panel was leaning badly and the protective outlet cover had broken off and

Called a week in advance to postpone (not even cancel) our trip and worked my way through a couple of unfriendly and unhelpful people to the manager. The wildfires are a nightmare and the smoke is extreme so we couldn't bring the kids up this weekend. She continued to tell me I should bring my family with two immunodeficient young children because they "should be fine". I hope the $157.00 that they took away from my kids next camping trip is worth the loss of business I believe the spreading of stories like this will bring them. They should be ashamed of themselves in a time

Just visited. In the mist of hundreds of wildfires, 9 national forests closing, no access allowed in local El Dorado National Forest, home owners not being allowed to have any outdoor fires or charcoal BBQs in the surrounding areas, this campground is REFUSING to stop campers from building fires. Last night the fire department had to send out a fire engine for two out of control camp fires. There is literately a 100,000+ wildfire 7 miles away from this campground. Another private campground steps way, Roaring Camp, for the first time in over 80 years is prohibiting any fires. Ask them to do the

We stayed for a few night during summer in the RV parking. Our site was very unlevel front to back and side to side (not the end of the world). Management seems to put more focus on the permanent "guests" opposed to the people vacationing there. The permanent guests area could use some attention. The sites could use a bit of clean up as they were full of bees, cigarettes, and dust.
The campground offers amenities such as a pool and a store but we did not use either.
When it came time to dump our tanks it was interesting to see that the sewer hook ups were raised about 1.5 feet off of

Awesome little hole in the wall in pine grove. Grew up in this area and never heard or been here till now. Listen it isn't a Waterpark with waterslides or anything big like that so don't expect that but what it is is a cool little area in the mountains with a deep pool 9ft and some cool above ground water structures that dump and spray water and when it's hot out it hits the spot. Also gas mini golf if you have a room or spot rented. The one negative is the arcade 90 % of the games just rob your quarters so don't even try

We just got back last weekend with the kids and grandkids.
We had 4 sites, ours was #81.
To start off with the table seat was broken and fell off, the RV site was somewhat level with so many potholes we had an issue finding a spot to part out trailer so we wouldn't break a leg walking around.
The kids had tent sites they were not level and very dirty.
There was only two bathrooms for all of the campers that were there (they were full).
The kids went to the mini golf area and it was so ran down it was hard for them to play.
There were a couple of people that worked there that all they did was

Stayed in a cabin here in June 2021. Really enjoyed the amenities, grandson especially liked the waterpark. Park management was very responsive to a small plumbing issue.
Was surprised no towels are provided and was glad I brought extras. Small dorm size fridge so plan accordingly. Only disappointment was that the waterpark, pool and golf closed down at 5:00 pm.
We are stayi g again in August with our other grandson.

A great park. Clean, spacious sites, beautiful scenery and friendly staff members impacted on this being a lovely experience. We actually live nearby but always wanted to stay in this park in our RV, just to enjoy the full experience. No regrets. Our site, #65, with full hookups, was awesome. We didn’t use any of the amenities but did see a clean laundry room, walked by a cool water park, mini golf and a well maintained dog park.
Great park for short and long term stays, in my opinion.

I received confirmation of a camping spot at the Gold Country Canground in Pine Grove Ca. 2 hours later after getting my trailer set up and ready to go I get a phone call that I do NOT have a reservation.

I called and had to wait for their call back. 4pm on Tues. Who's manning the fort. This morning I had to call them. 8am no answer. After 9 someone answered the phone.

My conversation was not a good one. We had a death in the family and just wanted a few days off. NOPE, not even a "sorry", too bad go to hell or anything!!

I want to thank them for ruining a LONG week

I had read the reviews about this place and some were not great. My husband and I pulled in late Friday evening and initially the electricity was not working in our space .Two men came out (Darren and Randy) to try to remedy the the problem to no avail. The wonderful Ladies down in the front office switched us to another spot that was even prettier . They were so nice and helpful! This place is very rustic it is positioned amongst the pine trees ,the pads are gravel and dirt. There's a beautiful hiking trail around the campground and lots of room for everyone. Everybody was very nice and overall

**FRAUD ALERT** I received an email from Gold Country Camping Resort soliciting us to come and stay. In that email, it had a button to make a reservation. I made a reservation, paid my $85 deposit, printed the receipt and a few weeks later went to enjoy several days of RVing. We get there and we don't have a reservation? They blamed the booking system that they use?

The result, No site for us, No refund, ZERO help or compassion. Left to scramble for an open site at another campground. I will not attempt to book with them again.

We stayed at Gold Country for a few weeks during the winter so most of the things where closed. They have mini golf, swimming pool and a small water park to run through with a game room that has a pool table a few arcade games. This park has a lot of potential if they would clean it up we couldn't use the restrooms/showers they hadn't been cleaned in months the laundry room is next to the office and hotel rooms due to people/ workers smoking right outside the front door this laundry room stinked and the machines where filthy always had pet hair on inside everytime I went in and the floors

Most disappointing trip!! I came to Gold Country Campground Resort to celebrate my daughters birthday with her friends. I was not aware that the owner Mike had decided to close all amenities at 5pm even during peak season!! Even though on the website it says open until 7pm! I stayed in the motel room L4... the air conditioner hose broke twice on a day that was over 100 degrees. At 2am Randy came in to fix the problem for a second time... (Very much appreciated Randy!!). The next morning I went

After spending seven months at this campground it became clear the management was not reliable nor honest. The new owner of the Gold Country Campground obviously trust too much as I found Meredith and other staff unprofessional and rude. The owner of the camp ground must not care wether the business is or stats profitable and in business as I see several ways in witch the poor management will collapse the business. It is my understanding he dose not care. Well I'm not there any longer and do not care. I hate to see money wasted on poor work ethics ! Good luck

Very disappointing. For $49 a basic campsite, amenities and ambience were subpar. Office closes when they feel like it (4:30 instead of 5) and the pool and clubhouse close with it. WiFi did not work the first day. Pool table out of order. Very subpar bathrooms. Stay away!!

In response to Mike: we stayed for two nights June 3-5 2018, three campsites under Eric Garnier. Your office closed at 4:30 on June 4 so you lie. I'm done with wasting time on you guys.

Gold Country Campgrounds is a very clean campground, with trailer hook ups and cottages for rent. Located in the woods in Pine Grove, CA. Beautiful area with surrounding vineyards. Our friends told us about this campground. My husband and I were displaced during the fires in Sonoma and Napa, being out in central Ca we were so happy to breathe fresh air! Gold Country Campgrounds was very kind to us. We could not be more appreciative and thankful for this relaxing time we had. Will definitely come back
