Since i moved to Cincinnati, I have been struggling to find a barber who knows how to deal with my thick straight asian hair. Within the first 10 minutes of the consultation, Kat knew exactly how I wanted my hair to look like. Not only did she give me a fresh real fade, she also taught me how to take care of my hair. Highly recommended! Very knowledgeable in her crafts.

Kat is so amazing and knows what she’s doing! This is the first time I’ve gotten the Japanese straightening. It was time-consuming, but it was a blast! I’m so glad I took the time to research to find someone… like her! I bombarded her with questions and she answered every single one with her cast knowledge of doing hair for so long. The salon is beautiful and clean, and parking was super easy. Highly recommend! ♥️

I have gone to Kat for two years now for the Japanese Straightener and always have an amazing experience. I used to fly to Florida to get my hair done because I did not trust anyone with it. I am now a forever customer of her’s. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, fun, personable, and oh yeah...my hair always looks amazing!!! I highly recommend going to Kat for any professional service!

Kat is not only an experienced stylist, but she is also a teacher. I learned so many tips for taking care of my hair at home. I got a Brazilian Blowout and I could tell she was so much more experienced than the stylists I have had in the past for this treatment. I also loved that she charged by the hour which was great for people with shorter hair. I was especially impressed with her time management. She is the ultimate professional! 5 stars!!

Owner Kat has cut off communication completely after i asked for a refund. I am asking for a full refund since my hair was completely destroyed- it’s fried to a crisp and falling off as we speak in clumps .… Feel free to read the comments I sent her : ( 1000.00 is what I paid for a Brazilian blowout and a Japanese straight treatment

Kat is amazing!!! She squeezed me into her booked schedule and transformed me in 3 hrs. or less, taking off years and about 4 inches while adding sooo many great styling and color tips! Very reasonable price. She is super informative and a great listener, as well, and I love the cut and color. I will definitely be back! Only hitch is I live in SoCal - wish I could take Kat with me! Next year, same time, same place, same Salsa on the Plaza right after as well!

I always have such trouble finding hair dressers that understand what I’m looking for and have the ability/knowledge to accomplish it. Kat was exactly what I’ve been searching for! I have never had anyone analyze my hair and help me figure out what works best for me. She taught me more in the first 15 minutes of meeting her about hair styling than… I learned on my own in the 25 years I’ve been alive. I usually never go back to the same hair dresser twice but I will absolutely be visiting Kat again. She is exactly what every girl needs in their life!

For anyone considering going to Hair Art Studio, I definitely recommend it and the owner, Kat! I just had the Japanese Straightening done on my hair at Hair Art Studio; Kat, who did my hair, was so professional and inviting and being a freshmen in college, even though I was nervous to get my hair straightened at first, she was extremely flexible with scheduling. Any questions that I had, I could call and she was happy to answer! I am now a sophomore in college, and just had it straightened again, as I have thick hair that now required me to come in again, but once again, I followed all of her helpfully

I am really sad to write an unflattering review, so much so that I was all conflicted about posting my thoughts in a public space where customer thoughts reign supreme. I had my haircut here twice and noticed after both cuts that the ends of my hair were so crooked that it looked like I had not had haircut in months. really unpleasant feeling after dropping close to 50 bucks on a trim. I kept trying to justify this by thinking that maybe the damage to my hair (self inflicted) from dying and chemical straightening was causing my ends to be choppy and all outta wack. but after pulling out section

My 10 year old daughter and I went to Hair Art Studio to get an "up-do" for my sister's wedding. The owner, Kat, answered the phone and did our hair. The price was certainly right ($40 each). The thing that impressed me most, however, was how Kat taught my daughter how to wash/brush/style her hair appropriately. She taught her all these things based on my daughter's hair type and shape of her face. We definitely had personalized service. I would recommend to anyone!

I have been to Hair Art Studio a handful of times now for everything from cuts, color & updo's. From the moment you walk in there is a comfortable, urban feel to the place which I love. Aubrey & Heather are both great stylists that work here. Very professional work accompanied by great personalities. You can't go wrong with either of them doing your hair. I would suggest trying out a great new restaurant downtown & get your hair done while your're at it.

Love the look and convenient location of this salon- very chill and spacious. Just started going here when my hair stylist switched locations. I had to follow her- she's amazing. Aubrey has a rare talent- she looks at your hair and automatically knows what to do with it, and it looks good- every time- without fail. She comes up with a fresh, new look every visit and has a knack for edgy cuts and inventive colors. I bit the bullet and got the Japanese Ionic Thermal Reconditioning straightening treatment done today and a brow wax.
Not only did I have a blast with Kat (very good energy; very professional yet personable) but . . . . I left and the first text I sent to my boyfriend was:
"I am beyond hot. Make that scorching".
And it's true. She's efficient, effective, and just . . excellent! Not only does she answer hair-related questions and make style recommendations (if you ask), she makes you look GOOOOOOOD.
