The best thing to have come In These Uncertain TimesĀ® is that I was able to resume studying Ashtanga-based yoga with Kelly and Evan Harris. Their style is direct, warm, and will change you from the inside out. Tapas was my home when I lived in the Quad Cities from 2012-17, and now, with their online courses, I'm actually getting back to surprising myself with my physical and emotional progress again. It is genuinely thrilling to be so chill and flexible.

I love Tapas! I live an hour away, but I keep coming back again and again. It is the perfect place for beginners and experienced yogis. The teachers are super nice and knowledgeable.

Tapas Yoga Shala is an amazing treat. I found it searching online for Iowa (area) yoga studios that incorporate ashtanga, after missing my San Francisco studio. I get there rarely since I live more than 2 hours away, but every time I have been it is a lovely experience. Kelly is amazing at leading ashtanga class, and when they have their teacher training course you can sign up to be a volunteer. This is a great way to get an inside peek at the TT program - I hope I can fit it into my schedule soon!

My husband and I just returned from the Quad Cities after participating in Kelly's partner

As far as I'm concerned, tapas is not just the best yoga studio in the Quad Cities, this is the best PLACE in the Quad Cities.

The instruction is uniformly excellent. The teachers here don't just drop by to teach a class, they are part of a community, so if someone comes up with a good adjustment for you, they will likely pass it on so that the next teacher will use it too.

Evan and Kelly teach the Mysore program, which is my main jam. It's sort of like a Montessori version of yoga where everyone is working on their own sequence, with the teacher coming around and giving individual

I was so excited to find this wonderful yoga studio in the quad cities!

Traveling for business gets hard and finding good places to eat, exercise and practice yoga can sometimes be very daunting.

Tapas Yoga is an extremely inviting and beautiful studio.
So far I have only attended one class which was led by Evan. It was a great session and I hope to return soon.

If you are in the area and need your yoga fix, this studio is fantastic!

A real Ashtanga yoga shala in Iowa? Say it ain't so. It is so and it's fabulous. Evan and Kelly are great teachers and they are an asset to this community. Yoga seems to be a tough sell in the Midwest but they are doing their best to convert one student at a time. Traditional mysore practice requires a great amount of dedication but the rewards are unlimited for practitioners willing to commit their time to their self development. And there's no better people to help you along that journey than Evan and Kelly. The Quad Cities are really lucky to have them in the area.

Evan & Kelly are dedicated yogis whose genuine Mysore approach has challenged me and strengthened even my sporadic-at-best practice. Tapas is a real community. Located right in downtown, the studio is a toasty oasis in winter and totally comfortable in summer. The multi-level classes embrace every skill level, although I would hesitate to jump into an unguided Mysore class without at least some yoga experience. This is the best yoga studio in the QCA that I've found & I'm so grateful to Tapas for even existing!
