Just a 10 minutes walk from fishing on the West Walker River, our motel features a seasonal outdoor pool, picnic area complete with BBQ facilities and a fire pit are located on site. Horseshoes and a children's playground offer outdoor entertainment options for all ages at the Andruss. A fish cleaning station and sink is available.

We stopped here after driving late and I wish our trip allowed for us to stay again on our way back. Fully decorated for the holidays, the owner of was sweet, the room was warm and homey, the beds clean and comfy. The little touches, like a full size coffee maker with good coffee, soft towels, hardwood paneling, extra large shower- all made our quick stay memorable. Thank you for a warm respite on a long night.

The Andruss Motel is a piece of paradise. What a wonderful surprise... We were just so tired... Looking for a place to catch some zzz's. But much to our surprise... We found this ourselves in one of the nicest motels I've ever known. Everything there is done right. Down to Every little detail that I normally wouldn't even notice... Is done right. We stayed there on our way down south. We stayed there on our way home. And I plan on staying there again for a weekend getaway... When we already live in a vacation destination. Lake Tahoe. The owner lives on property and makes sure everything is done

WOW! A little piece of old school Americano. We’re the rooms remind me of when my parents traveled the west looking for the ultimate place to camp and fish. And the motels and owners reflected that same spirit. Wonderful well-kept rooms that for me are like comfort food. Mountain cabins reflecting it’s surrounding area.
Steve the owner offering refreshments that would ease and comfort any weary traveler. My wife and I I just returned from a long trip down to Los Angeles and back we found the Andruss Motel reflecting the quiet side of California.

The downright perfect place to relax! The room had a fridge, microwave and coffeemaker and a lot of tv channels. It was clean and comfortable. The property is so quaint and tidy. The highlight of our stay was the pool. It was not only inviting but is ten feet deep and there are deck chairs and floaties. We were there for a quick, lazy getaway and this place totally obliged. A very enjoyable stay!

A cute old fashion motel with a little bit of the 21st century. The motel was spotless, the king bed in our room was soooo comfortable. The room had everything we needed, a fridge, coffee pot, microwave. The swamp cooler kept us cool and comfortable on those warm days. The key system was one we have not seen before. It was a round fob that you pressed to the back of the door handle to open. Very slick. It can also be controlled by Steve, the owner, remotely. Talking about Steve, what a nice guy. He took the time to talk to us about the area and never seemed to be in a hurry to run off when we know

What a comfy, quiet and peaceful place to stay. It's clean and has a very peaceful ambiance and setting. The room was perfect and the bed was soft, as were the linens. The only thing I would suggest is an update to the swamp cooler. It was pretty loud, but on a hot day, I'll happily accept the notice.

Had to leave this review while we're still here because that's how amazing this place is! From the gorgeous surroundings to the immaculately clean rooms to every amenity you could think of, all brought to you by Steve and his hardworking staff! Our family has decided on an annual visit here for years to come, and although there are many places to stay, Andruss just feels like home! This place is a must stay! ❤

Highly recommended, best mountain motel in that area , very nice and clean restroom, free wifi , free parking, nice and deep pool with Mountain View , very nicely decorated room with a large bathroom. Pet friendly. I was surprised to get into the room , I didn’t expected that great service, you can hangout outside in the evening with candle lights. Comfy bed, everything was up to the mark.

I stayed here for a family wedding and had a blast, the owner was friendly and accommodating to our group. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the kitchenette option is helpful. I stupidly left my keys behind, didn't realize it until I was already at the airport--called them from the terminal, they found the keys and mailed them to me right away. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

My review is based on special circumstances so, while the Andruss Motel is a 5 star for me, it may not be fancy enough for others. The reasons I loved our stay there are these:
*VERY dog friendly. He charged us a very small amount, like $10 a day or something, for our dogs. There were small garbage receptacles in several places outside which made it convenient for disposing doggie bags. They have a nice lawn area all along the center divide of the motel for picky dogs.
*Very clean and tidy.
*The bed was quite comfortable although it seemed a little small but maybe that's because it was a queen

A last minute trip we decided to head over to the eastern side of the Sierras. We called ahead and rooms were available. When we got here the owner Steve was very welcoming. We enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean. It was a perfect place for a nightly stop over and we most definitely will return.

This motel is by far the cleanest one I have ever stayed at. The rooms and beds are super comfortable and cute. I absolutely love the decor. It's located in such a beautiful and quiet place. There's a mini playground for kids, a nice little BBQ area, and a pool. I travel for work, so it's nice to have this place feel like a home away from home. The owner Steve is super kind, and overall awesome! I'm so glad and lucky to have come across such a nice place. If you're driving up or down 395 and need a place to stay....THIS IS THE SPOT!

Stayed here for a weekend and loved it. First time staying in a "motel". By far the cleanest motel inside and out. Steve the owner is great and very helpful. We stayed in room #5. The bed was super comfortable, it was an end room and the bathroom was spotless and it smelled clean. I would definitely stay here again. He keeps the grounds very clean which is attractive.

On our way home from Mammoth our truck broke down and the mechanic who was replacing our water pump took us to the Andruss for the night. The owner Steve gave us a great deal on our room and couldn't have been more generous or welcoming. He made our stay in town so pleasant we were sad to leave. Super clean room and great pool.

This place is a gem! The old owners were great and we just met the new owner Steven today, he's just as charming as this motel! Husband comes for the fishing, while we relax by the pool and spend our evenings together playing horseshoes and BBQ-ing. The motel supplies all you need to through some meat or hopefully fish on the grill. Keep your fresh catch on ice in their freezer, or select one of their units with a kitchen. Best motel there is here! Bring the kiddos and play, or leave the kiddos and relax, same options for fido! We love it here and the new owner will keep us coming back

Two years later and everything is still just as good! I've never stayed in a cleaner place and the bed and bedding are really comfortable. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, the decor is classic without feeling old, and the shower literally couldn't be cleaner.
Sad to hear that Mary and Rex have decided to move on, but I'll be back to support the new owner. Hopefully the quality and standards will stay high!
