We greatly enjoyed our stay at the lodge. It was a windy night and some 30 minutes before our arrival the power went out in the whole town. Just as we considered turning home, the general manager arrived and told us we wouldn't be charged if we decided to leave. However, the power came back on, and we opted to stay. Since the local stores and restaurants had closed for the bight on the account of the blackout, he offered to bring us groceries himself. He brought us lots of food and refused to take any payment. We had a great time!

I love this place! It’s cozy, comfy & warm. The beds are super fantastic, we stayed in king room & the heater was turned on for us before we got there, so sweet! I love the mountain lodge theme! Also right next star is a delicious brewery! How does it get any better than this? We will definitely be back!

Booked at the last minute on a weekend. Todd set me up immediately, walked me to the room, turned on the heat to have it warm when I got back with my stuff, and filled me in on everything I needed to know about the facility and the area. The guy was great.
The room was surprisingly well appointed, a significant upgrade. Todd told me that a new owner had taken over and really cared about the rooms, the staff, and the guests. It shows.

We were delighted by the well maintained room and lodge. The laminate floors added a feeling of cleanliness. The wall heater was efficient (we were there when temperatures were around 20 at night) and the bed was comfortable and cozy warm. The bathroom was updated and clean. Joanne was warm and friendly and made us feel welcome. She was available to answer questions and provide whatever we needed. Our dog, Link, was welcome too!
We look forward to returning to Creekside Lodge.

We love to visit Markleville in the Fall to see the beautiful colors on the trees. The Creekside Lodge is truly a breath of fresh air situated in a small quaint little Sierra Nevada town. Our room was so tastefully decorated with a "cabin" type feel. Very clean and our bed was amazingly comfortable. I even asked our host where they got the sheets they were so soft. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for a great weekend getaway.

Hubby, dog and I love Creekside Lodge. If you enjoy the setting of Markleeville (tiny mountain town) and note that Creekside is literally at its heart, you're set. Room updates have been high-quality and maintain the sense of rustic comfort. Communications and services are top-notch. This promises to remain a favorite place to stay.

Love this oasis in the Sierra! Great location. Todd is very accommodating and clearly is looking out for his guests. Walking distance to great eateries. The room with ice and coffee is clean and well stocked. The rooms are nicely decorated in mountain theme and are clean. Would like to have had blackout curtains.

My first visit this past week to the Creekside Lodge in Markleeville was
a great time in a beautiful location. My room was very nice, very clean, and provided great heat and a warm bed on my two chilly nights. Todd and Jeanie were super hosts. Very friendly, welcoming, and Todd has all the info on where to fish as he plants the fish on the East Fork of the Carson River that runs by just outside of town. The fishing was good and I enjoyed fishing both the East Carson and the West Fork of the Walker River as well. Markleeville is like stepping back in time as it has a rich history and lots

My husband and I were looking for a place to take a week break in the time of COVID. We decided on Creekside Lodge in Markleeville. What a great choice. Jeannie and Todd are very aware of the virus and keep the place spotless. It was the perfect choice for us. Now we will spend time throwing fishing lines in streams, lakes and rivers and breathing clean air.

This was a delight in all ways! To start, the owner, Jeannie, was very hospitable, friendly, informative, and always had a smile! We were in Room 7 - a conservative, yet cozy room. I loved that there was no television, and we sat outside on chairs and put our feet up on the bench. From here we sat with our drinks and listened to the melodious sound of the river. The room was impeccably clean, and I am a fan of having your room cleaned, bed made, and towels changed when you want and need, not as a matter of fact - good for me and the environment! The hotel is only four miles from Grover Hot Springs

We found this place last minute when we decided to Ski Kirkwood. We decided to make a weekend of it and searched on Airbnb and up popped Creekside Lodge. We booked based on reviews and so glad we did. Creekside was the sweetest little place in the cutest town ever. Very clean, very charming and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. It made a last minute ski day turn into a romantic weekend getaway. The decor is very rustic and true to the feel of the town. We decided this will be our go to place the next time we come up the mountain to ski.

Stayed here for one night so my sample size is small. I was in room 3 (two twin beds). It was on New Years night (e.g. 1/1/17) and price was $99 including tax. Compared to Stateline where rooms were almost $400 that was good. It's also closer to Kirkwood than South Lake Tahoe.
Decor was decent. Clean room, firm bed (not too hard but comfortable). The bathroom was remodeled nicely. Only drawback is the walls are a bit thin. When people talked outside, you'd easily hear them. You could hear some room noise from the other guests (talking, etc). Since I arrived later (after 6pm

This is a hidden gem! The rooms are cabin like and clean! The town and people living there are very friendly. Todd is an amazing host. Don't forget to hit the wolf creek restaurant for a drink and dinner. We stayed on New Years eve and it was a winter wonderland! They are also very dog friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone who is seeking refuge from the city!

Not that there are many places to stay in Markleeville, but I would go out of my way to stay here again. Without asking, the owner made sure we had a room away from the road. The room was just right for us. It was tastefully decorated and the lodge had everything we needed.
It is right in the middle of the cutest town ever. Things shut down early but we had plenty of time to go to dinner and take a walk through town.
