Milwaukee Handyman was founded by JD Steinhafel, a Southeastern Wisconsin business owner for over 20 years and a lifelong Milwaukee resident. JD founded Milwaukee Handyman because of a serious lack in the Milwaukee area of a handyman service providing expert work, showing up on time, and being transparent about charges.
When JD Steinhafel retired he turned the business over to who he felt best could continue to provide the same service JD has. The company belongs to John Zacher. At Milwaukee Handyman, we do the little things that make a big difference, like cleaning up after ourselves, and taking care of any extra minor repairs around your home for FREE.

I called to have someone install a railing on our front porch. Two steps and the landing. Took three phone calls to get someone to come out. When he finally did, he looked, did not even bring a tape measure and said to to Menards and buy the railing and call me back. Asked three times for a installation price and he kept saying depends. Finally said $300. a railing. This is to put in three post on each side. I said, so I just measure it and get the parts. His reply was they are about four foot pieces. Never measured. I did not expect to measure myself, buy the parts and hope they are correct and

Just watched a Mikwaukee Handyman pickup truck tailgate and get dangerously close to another driver on I43N near Marquette Campus. The driver was berating, honking and speeding. Dangerous behavior in traffic. Not a great representation of your business, especially when your number is on the sides and back of your vehicle.

We set up two appointments for quotes. The first time the contractor didn't show up and didn't call. He called the following morning with an excuse about not budgeting his time for a job and he couldn't make it to our house. No explanation provided for the lack of courtesy call The office called saying he was sick. We set up another appointment the following day. Once again he didn't show up and didn't call. There won't be a third appointment.

I had a very small drywall finishing job. The drywall was already there and just needed a coat or two of mud. Was quoted between $800 and $900 dollars for it. This company is not so handy when you are quoted an exorbitant amount. I will not be contacting for any future needs. "I'm a sub-contractor and Milwaukee Handyman has to get their cut." - Actual quote from the drywall guy they sent out.

I needed to have the valve to my toilet replaced. After receiving several quotes of $150 - 250 I called Milwaukee Handyman. They quoted me $80 to have the work done. Jessie came with the part and completed the job in under 15 minutes. Not to mention it was on a Sunday! Nice job, great people to deal with.
