Lotus Blooming Yoga exists to make a difference in people's lives through physical and mental healing. Lotus Blooming Yoga was established to be the pond from which your flower will bloom. It is our mission to provide a home to everyone seeking to improve their lives through yoga and related practices regardless of age or ability.
A Vinyasa Flow class will coordinate the asanas (poses) in a flowing, connected way so that there is a progression through the practice. Beginning with a gentle warm up the practice will continue to a series of more vigorous actions and then move down again until you reach the final resting pose (savasana).
Hatha Yoga is based on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and serves as the basis of all yogic traditions taught in the Western World. In our studio, a Hatha Yoga class will focus on the basics of the yoga poses, or asanas, and proper use of breath to support the body. Hatha classes take a gentle approach and may or may not incorporate some flow between poses.
LifeForce Yoga was developed for the management of depression and anxiety by Amy Weintraub. This practice uses a system of meditation, pranayama (breath), visualization, mantra, mudra and sound in combination with familiar yoga asanas (poses). Regular practice of the techniques taught in a LifeForce class can help mediate mood disorders when practiced in conjunction with appropriate medical treatment.
I just spent my first hour with Katy being coached on life skills, job search and diet. It was a great experience and she helped drive me to some personal decisions and commitments I've been failing to make on my own. Katy worked with me as a coach to help me resolve some business issues. She was very effective in helping me determine a course of action and work through next steps as I navigate a complicated situation.

Small classes with authentic practice complete with friendly staff for a personal experience. Every level of yoga is welcome and many styles are taught. Every instructor I've encountered has been very well trained in the art of yoga, you will not find instructors who are trainers that picked up yoga as part of their fitness routine.
