Harbor View Cafe

I guess you have to be a local to get good service here. Our order was taken promptly and we received our beverages and food quickly, but after that, we were ignored. We were charged an extra $2 for the house made sourdough, however the toast we received looked and tasted like it was from a commercial loaf. I had to stop the waitress to ask for a coffee refill after she walked by several times with a coffee pot in her hand. My husband never got a refill on his water. Its truly an amazing thing when you can find a place that makes you feel like your at home on vacation. I was up here for my grandsons birthday and happened upon harbor view cafe. I was taken by surprise on how kind and overly friendly the staff was. Not only that but the food was great as well. My server Annie was great! She was so kind and very helpful, by the end of the week we exchanged numbers and became friends on Facebook. Even one of the cooks went above and beyond to run my phone out to me when I left it in the restuarant. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better week and a better

A great breakfast spot, although crowded at times. They have all of the classic breakfast items for reasonable prices and are relatively quick as well. It is certainly one of our favorite Sunday brunch spots during the summer. The wait staff is friendly and very efficient in ensuring all aspects of your meal are taken care of properly.

I had such a lovely experience today at Harbor View Cafe. My server, Annie, was so kind and very knowledgeable about the up north areas. she was giving me ideas and places to see while I was in town for a couple hours today. I ended up taking her recommendation on going to the lighthouse and it was absolutely beautiful. It was so refreshing being able to talk to someone and not feel like a burden. Annie made me feel so welcome during my breakfast this morning. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who asks. One of the friendliest servers I have had in awhile and one of the best

Another amazing meal at harbor view! The food was amazing as usual, but we seemed to have a new server or someone a little inexperienced. It took her awhile to come to the table and give my husband and I waters/menus. We understand that people are new and that they need time to learn, but our server didn’t seem to be interested in the Job. When she first brought the waters and menus she was overly short with us. She was this way towards us the entire time and it ruined the dinning experience for us. We are use to the fun staff of harbor view, people laughing and joking with each other/ the customers

Cute little restaurant for breakfast. Less of a wait than other places in town. Food was very yummy, staff was very efficient. Thanks for a great breakfast!!

My family and I had breakfast here twice during our recent stay in Charlevoix. The wait staff is friendly. The portions were great and they serve a good cup of coffee.
High recommend Harbor View Café for Breakfast.

Great place for breakfast! Vicky's home made bread is worth the upgrade price.

The service was weird, she filled our glass and poured all the water on the table and left as if nothing happened. We asked if we could change our seats since a booth opened up, she said ya wait a sec left and didn't come back for 20mins, by then the booth got occupied also she never mentioned anything about it after coming back. The stars are only for the food, although mine was average the food that my friends ordered was good.

It was busy when we arrived. Our waitperson was slow to take our order and never checked on us or offered refills and was even slow to bring the check. Went to the counter to ask to the staff member standing there in front of coffee machine for coffee refill and was told we had to wait for the coffee to finish but they never brought coffee until we asked again. The food was good, really nice crisping on the potatoes. Staff were all nice and server was maybe still pretty new. It didn't seem like anybody else was ignored.
