Mike, Stacy & Family: I would like to thank all of you for the super job you did on the sale of the property & real estate of Lillian Hostmeyer.

I was greatly surprised by the price of the real estate. Did not expect the final price by knowing the condition of the house. I am sure the great clean-up job added lots to the price. Also, lots of surprises on the personal property. I'm enjoying reading the tickets. It was a pleasure to meet all of you.

Foster & Teresa (Mike's parents) have since passed away, leaving the auction business to Mike, Stacy and the boys. Mike, Stacy and their sons Mark, Jeff and John have all contributed to building the business, and making Harman Auction one of the largest auction companies in the metro east. In the fall of 2018 Mike and Stacy purchased Hilltop Auction Center on Fosterburg Rd. in Alton, IL.

Been going to Harmans since the 70s when they had the sit down antique auctions in the main building we moved away and recently came back to the area and a friend reminded about the auction we enjoy going here. The Harmans are great people great place to find just about anything your looking for.

This was a first time shopping experience for me...a hidden treasure trove if you have never ventured. Friendly owners...crowd...and eattery! Glad i didnt miss the Railroad collection live auction...it was a fabulous display...a great learning opportunity. I didnt get any railroad items but i came home with a handful of fun collectible items.

An auction house for a wide range of personal property and farm items. Payment is by cash or check only. When I was there at least three rings were running simultaneously prior to the featured items. The main location has chairs, restrooms, food, and heat while the numerous outbuildings and open but roofed storage areas do not. Offerings are handled swiftly and a quick hammer closes bidding quickly.

Lots of stuff to see, the place is always packed with new goodies to look at. If you enjoy a good auction, this is the place to go. They even serve food during auction hours and it is delicious!
