All new patients receive a comprehensive examination. This is the same comprehensive examination that is recommended for all of our patients once a year. There are certain situations that may require a pet to be hospitalized. We know this can be a stressful time for you and your pet, so we want you to rest assured that your loved one is good hands.
This is a safe and painless procedure for your pet. The visuals created from this procedure are extraordinarly helpful in the diagnosis of many different ailments. With 20 years of experience, Dr. Whitaker utilizes our human ultrasound machine with color doppler to perform echocardiograms and abdominal scans for painless, non-invasive imaging.
Newport Hills Animal Hospital offers boarding seven days a week for all size dogs, cats, and small exotics. We have spacious indoor dog runs that include beds as well as well as extra space for play. We have small, medium, and large cages that have a rubberized rack to allow moisture to pass to the bottom of the cage.

I took my dog there for an anesthesia free dental cleaning. Steven was so professional and expert in handling my dog and Dr Wood oversaw the whole treatment and made sure I had all my questions answered before treatment. The reception staff are super helpful and friendly.

What a nice facility and experience we had last week. Dr. Wood treated my Chihuahua girls with utmost sweetness and expertise. I was nervous about their spay because of their diminutive size, but she put us at ease immediately. She and NHAH are worth the drive from Palm Springs!

I’ve been taking all of my pets to Newport Hills Animal hospital for 26+ years! Dr. Whittaker is the Best!! All of the doctors there are top notch!! I will never take my fur babies to anyone else! The girls in the office are awesome and the animal techs are great as well! They are all the best!
