Services
We stress the importance of annual wellness exams for your pet(s) now that some vaccination protocols have changed. Pets cannot tell us how they feel, so by performing their annual physical exam we can check their eyes, skin, teeth, ears, respiratory and skeletal neural systems, lymph nodes, and mucous membranes to ensure they are healthy.

Dr Shim is another level of knowledgeable doctor.
I've been to this place since 2019, before that I had been to quite a lot vet but never had single satisfied experience.
My fur baby is really sensitive to anesthesia and always having a trouble waking up from anesthesia.

Dr. Shim has performed a 4.3 LB fat lump removal surgery to my 11 yr old dog, after trying many attempts with her regular vet. Dr. Shim, provided through information about the process of the surgery giving me the confidence and trust to proceed with this decision. The staff was very attentive, kind and caring when asking questions. NOW my dog is free from carrying such as enormous lump on her neck. Our family will forever be thankful for enhancing the life quality of my dog

Since we moved to Tustin we have been looking for a good and caring vet. Dr Shim and his team have all the qualities we have been looking for. Dr. Shim has given us great advise and shown to care for what the type of medication and food they recommend. Our cats are in great hands and we don't doubt on recommending the Alton main animal hospital to all our friends and family.

Dr. Shim is an amazing vet. It's very upsetting how other people make awful reviews about him and the clinic. Some people don't understand that he is the only doctor in the hospital. Everything right now is by appointment which is very understandable due to Covid. If your pet is having an emergency you would have to take them to an emergency hospital. You wouldn't take your child to a clinic when they have any broken bones. It's common sense. There are 100s of other clinics to take your pet if they're sick if they don't have appointments sooner. Thank you Dr. Shim

The Dr. Is amazing, he is very effective, nice, and shows that he truly loves and cares for your pet. I always take my dog with this vet. My chihuahua is 3lbs and 7 years old, she had tumors on her belly and the Dr. put her down for surgery and thankfully everything went amazing. Their staff members are very nice and efficient.

My dog have a cancerous tumor, and I've been looking for the Vet to have surgery since I am
not happy with my vet. Visit to the Alton Main Animal Hospital today for surgery was awesome.
I was very satisfied with the result. really like Dr.Sim and his staff. Dr.Sim is very kind, friendly and helpful. I look forward to returning again in the future. Highly recommend this veterinary clinic!

So I searched animal hospital and found Alton main animal hospital.
It had nice reviews, I got appointment right away.
But appointment was 3 weeks later. I think because it was my first visiting.
When we arrived, We were waiting outside because of covid.
when we were waiting, he went out and checked our dog.
I even didn't know he is a doctor, cuz I didn't expect he came out for us in person.
It was touching for me. and I felt he really cares and loves

My 2 year old Lab swallowed a ball and had to have it surgically removed. They wound up finding 2 balls in his stomach during surgery and a rubber band. Dr. Shim and the staff at Alton Main Animal Hospital were phenomenal! They were friendly, professional and reassuring. This is a top notch Animal Hospital with reasonable prices. I would highly recommend bringing your fur baby here for any healthcare needs. I will definitely be returning.

I took my dog to Alton Main Animal Hospital to get my dogs' teeth cleaned with Anesthesia and a removal of a mass in his gums. I was very nervous since he had never been put under but everyone at this hospital made me feel extremely comfortable with their kindness and professional demeanor, especially the Doctor. The office was simple and clean and although it was our first visit my dog was calm in the new environment.
The procedure went great. Two days later my dogs' teeth look great and he is in good spirits. We couldn't be happier with the procedure and with this office

Dr. Shim is incredibly kind and patient, and he explains everything to you which I greatly appreciate in a doctor. I had visited Dr. Shim twice: the first time was for my l Bichon Frise who had bloody stools and needed to be on a special diet, and another time for my nephew (my sister and brother-in-law's Siberian Husky).
