Services
J.A. Welton & Son Funeral Home was founded in 1946 by James Arthur Sr and Mai Nell Welton. The first business establishment was located in the childhood home of Mai Nell Welton at 715 South Jackson Street in Tullahoma, Tn. and still stands today as the main office. As the business grew there was a need to establish other locations to better serve the surrounding counties.
The staff members at J. A. Welton & Son Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that every family is unique and have personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors.
Tracie Welton Burnett, daughter of Sheryl Welton and James A. Welton, Jr. is a licensed funeral director and embalmer carrying on the tradition of her grandparents, the late James A. and Mai Nell Welton, who founded the Welton Funeral Home in 1946.Tracie attended Clark College in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management.

This place is absolutely amazing they went all way to Knoxville flooding conditions and got my baby brothers body down here and they went above and beyond we did not have a lot of money at all they were affordable we did cremation and they even made his body viewable made him look so peaceful they truly care I would recommend them to anyone they help u threw this hard time when losein a loved one I’ll always be forever grateful for everything they done I seriously can not thank u guys enough if anyone wants someone who will go thT extra mile and treat ur loved one who passed with the respect

Recently we had a Homegoing Service for our Beloved Aunt Flora Hill. We put Welton Funeral Service in charge as we have done with all of our Loved ones in so many years passed. I chose J.A. Welton & Son Funeral Home based on the Google reviews and I have no regrets. I highly recommend Tracie Burnett and J.A. Welton & Son. Tracie balances the perfect mix of kindness and professionalism. First off, Tracie answered my call right off, and it was on Easter Sunday! She offered condolences and treated us with compassion all the while being professional and helpful. We had no idea what to do. Tracie arranged everything!
